Description
Olivella 62 is a nice apartment in the heart of the historic center of Palermo, near the Teatro Massimo and the main tourist attractions, the ideal starting point to explore the city and discover its contradictions and old-world charm.
Brand new, furnished and decorated in typical Sicilian style, and equipped with every comfort, the apartment is on the third floor (no elevator) of a renovated building. Inside it is on two levels. On the first level there is a spacious living room with dining area, furnished with sofa, table, chairs and TV, and decorated with antique Sicilian majolica; in a little balcony overlooking the Teatro Massimo there is table and chairs for unforgettable drinks and breakfast surrounded by the romantic atmosphere of Palermo; the kitchen is full equipped; there is also the first double room overlooking the rooftops of the old city and a private bathroom with shower.
On the second level there is the second double bedroom with sloping roofs and the second bathroom with shower.
The house is equipped with air conditioning and heating, TV, Internet.
Olivella 62 is close to the main tourist attractions of the city. Just 50 meters away is the Teatro Massimo, the Opera Theatre in Palermo. Behind the Teatro Massimo in few minutes you can get the Capo market, one of the most famous and authentic popular markets of the city, noisy and colorful. Going around on foot, in a few minutes you can reach the Quattro Canti, the center of the old town, and choose your route: discover the way of the Cassaro and masterpieces of the Arab Norman (the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, the Martonana, etc); make a tour of the Sicilian Baroque churches (St. Ignatius Olivella, St. Joseph Theatine, Casa Professa, etc); go around the traditional markets (Capo, Vucciria and Ballarò); take a pleasant stroll along the seafront of the city to discover the Arab quarter of the Kalsa.
Olivella 62 is just a few meters from the main bus stops and only 15 minutes from Central Station. The area is very easy to find a taxi or a "carriage with horses" for an original tour of the city.
