551 Cinnamon Beach, 5th Floor OceanFront, HDTV Wifi, Newly Updated as of 2012
Are luxurious surroundings are a key part of your dream vacation? If so, dream no more: Recently updated, wildly spacious 551 Cinnamon Beach is what you’ve been looking for. Not only is the 3-bedroom condo gorgeous in and of itself, but it’s part of an equally deluxe, 65-acre gated community.
The balcony of this fifth-floor abode overlooks the ocean and the cinnamon-tinted sands that give the complex its name. You may even spy dolphins while sitting on the 350-sq.-ft. balcony, drink in hand. You can choose from three private walkways to take you directly from the complex to the beach—how fabulous is that! Also from the balcony you can gaze out onto the adjoining Ocean Hammock Golf Course.
Sliding doors connect the balcony to the living room, which has been sumptuously redecorated in serene, sophisticated neutral tones that all but ensure relaxation. There’s an oversize, wildly comfortable sofa, easy chairs, and even a chaise, so that everyone can gather around to enjoy the 55” Internet-enabled HDTV with Blu-ray DVD player. There’s also free wireless web access and even free local and long-distance phone service covering all of North America—an almost unheard-of amenity! That huge couch, by the way, opens up to a queen-size bed, so that 551 Cinnamon Beach can accommodate 8 overnight guests in all.
The bedrooms cater to relaxation and repose as much as the living room does. Each has its own HDTV and full bathroom—no arguing about what to watch and no lines for the bathroom in the morning! The master suite has a glorious king-size bed, which you don’t have to leave to enjoy the ocean view; you can gaze out at the window from bed. The en-suite bathroom—larger than some hotel rooms we’ve stayed in!—has a tub, a walk-in shower, and two huge vanities with sinks, giving you plenty of room to spread out all your toiletries.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the third has two twin beds, making it perfect for the kids. All three bedrooms and all three baths come with plenty of fresh bedding and towels—no need to bring your own.
Nor do you need to bring any kitchen supplies (other than food, of course!). In addition to a full-size refrigerator/freezer, oven, stove, and microwave, there are niceties such as a coffee maker, a toaster, and a blender for whipping up frosty daiquiris or milkshakes. Cookware, tableware, utensils—they’re all included too. And because washing dishes is nobody’s idea of vacation fun, there’s a dishwasher as well.
The long dining room table can seat up to eight people, and there’s room for a few more at the adjacent counter. A sunny breakfast nook sits on the opposite side of the kitchen. The set-up is perfect for when you want to enjoy a grown-ups-only meal: Seat and serve the kids at the breakfast nook, then relax with the adults at the dining table—everybody’s happy!
As lavish as 551 Cinnamon Beach is, there’s plenty more to spoil you once you leave the condo. There’s the beach, of course, but also two heated outdoor swimming pools, one of which has a gradual-slope entry for the kids. Kids will also love frolicking in the “splash zone”—it’s almost like a water park right on the premises. Adults, meanwhile, will love unwinding in the Jacuzzi, perhaps after working out in the impressively equipped fitness center.
The Cinnamon Beach Clubhouse is impressively outfitted as well. There’s a game room for kids, complete with air hockey and foosball, and another for adults, with a pool table. There’s even a café, designed to look like the perfect ice cream parlor. Outdoors but still within the complex are glorious walking and jogging trails and lakes stocked with fish. And just a bit farther afield are a wealth of restaurants, shops, and golf courses—email us for a list.
For a Florida vacation that’s truly a treat, you’ll love 551 Cinnamon Beach. So treat yourself right now, and book your reservation today.

The condo was clean and had nice furniture and decor. The corner balcony has an awesome view of the beach but you also see the air conditioning units of the building next to you due to the building angle. There was plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. Multiple beach access paths were close and an easy walk. The drive to St. Augustine is a straight shot and I would highly recommend spending a day there. Upon arrival at the condo we discovered an electrical problem in one of the bedrooms where every time we turned on the TV, the electrical breaker to that bedroom would trip. There was also a light out above the front door. We contacted the maintenance dept. and the light was quickly replaced but the electrical problem remained throughout our stay. A few recommendations would be to supply additional washcloths (there were only 5 but condo sleeps 8), Tv's in all bedrooms were nice but they did not carry the same programming as the TV in the living area (no Nick Jr. or Disney for kids) and there were no DVD players in the bedrooms. The resort has 2 pools - the oceanfront pool is supposed to be the 'quiet' pool but while we were there, it was not quiet as kids were playing pool games, etc. and no one was there to enforce the 'quiet' rules. Although we had a couple of minor issues, I would still recommend the resort and condo. The resort property is beautiful with close access to grocery stores and restaurants. The condo has high ceilings and feels larger than pictures show.

Our second time back to Cinnamon beach and we love the location and beach. Our only disappointment was that the unit had been re-furnished since our last stay and they deleted the 2 sets of bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. Overall it's a beautiful unit but next time we'll be looking for a unit with a more kid friendly set up and will ask if it's going to be re-done before our visit.
