Casa del Sol fit the bill for our extended family after our son's California wedding. Eight of us gathered for the week of Thanksgiving. The pool and hot tub were a hit and worked very well. The lovely outdoor dining was perfect for the Thanksgiving Day Turkey dinner. The 4 bedrooms were nice and the bathrooms were spacious. We enjoyed the fire pit and the views of the mountains. We enjoyed walking in the beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Our children walked to town and enjoyed browsing in the shops. Nice restaurants are nearby as well as grocery stores.

The house was wonderful to stay at and very comfortable. I must say the notion of wondering about the electricity was a bit worrisome as its something you think about when on vacation as opposed to other properties where that is not an issue or one that has already been negotiated.

This house was very large and accommodated seven of us quite nicely. However, there were some issues. We were disappointed upon entering, however, became accustomed and comfortable. Hazardous steps, easy to miss, entering master ensuite and dining area. Couch was uncomfortable and we were unable to get main living room TV to work. We were short of wash cloths, lighting in bathrooms was not bright enough. I would rate this between "Average and Very Good" due to above issues. Although, it was spacious for all us.

House has a great layout and was spacious to meet our needs. The yard, however, was disappointing. The pictures make the yard look more groomed and updated than it really was during our stay. Lack of tree trimming diminished yard features like view, pool access and pool area seating. Outdoor furniture is "well used" and weathered. Grass areas not usable during our stay (only 50% grass) and pests present. Given the desire to spend time outdoors by the pool, this was a disappointment. At the full $ rate plus utilities, this house was not a financial value versus multiple rooms at an area resort at out of season rates, and a resort would be significantly more updated. At the significantly discounted rate displayed in conjunction with this review form, it would be a better value.

I enjoyed this house very much. Had 2 master bedrooms on one side of the house and then 2 other bedrooms that shared a bath on the other side of the house. Nice set up throughout the house and the outdoor space was amazing for Bbqing and swimming all day with my girlfriends. We were there for a bachlorette and everything was close by for fun at night.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT BINDS: $750 due at booking and then applied to your final balance which is due approximately 30 days prior to your arrival.
A nightly utility charge will be included in your "rent quote": This utility charge is applicable year round and will Include Pool & Spa heating in season, (typically October through May).
