Experience the tranquility and charm of this early California hacienda. Hacienda Las Palmas dates back to the golden Hollywood era; it’s even rumored that Katherine Hepburn and director, George Cukor used it as their desert oasis. The six bedroom home was lovingly restored in 2007, but still retains its traditional Spanish design elements such as clay tile roofs, an arched breezeway and classic coral-rose hues.
Spend easy days by the pool where designer chaise longues look out to stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains. You’ll also find cushioned lounge sets around the terrace and under the shelter of the cabana tent. Stroll the grounds and appreciate the meticulously landscaped gardens. Discover more seating and an al fresco dining table under the picturesque breezeway, where you can enjoy feasts prepared on the barbecue. In the evening, ease into the whirlpool and watch the night sky come alive with stars.
Inside, wood-beamed ceilings, paver floors and whitewash walls create a traditional backdrop, while an eclectic mix of displays and pieces reflect a more contemporary feel. Much of the furniture, including a travertine dining table and cabinetry, has been imported from across the globe, enhancing the worldly ambiance. The gourmet kitchen was inspired by French countryside estates while the cozy living room features a lovely stucco fireplace.
From the Master bedroom you’ll enjoy a mountain-view through large picture windows and the spa-quality en-suite includes premium fixtures, plus an al fresco shower. The second suite is equally well-appointed and both open directly out to an open-air spa. The main home houses two more spacious guestrooms. The remaining two rooms are found at the opposite end of the breezeway, in a casita. The casita features a shared living room, wet bar and bathroom.
You won’t have to look far for activities in Palm Springs. Start with a stroll around Vista Las Palmas and the Movie Colony neighborhoods and experience mid-century homes that drew Hollywood’s elite to the desert. The Coachella Valley is home to over 80 golf courses set against breathtaking backdrops. You’ll also find national parks with hikes for all skill levels. Shop and dine at the eclectic shops and restaurants along Palm Canyon Drive.

For the first time in several years, our family came together from as far away as Ecuador and Canada, and we first met our new grand-daughter, so it was a very important occasion for us all. The house did not disappoint and the concierges were wonderful. They set up and decorated a Christmas tree for us on our arrival which made it all the more special. The house was a great venue for our event and the ambiance was perfect. Thanks to all who helped us. Would thoroughly recommend the villa and the concierges.

The house and concierge service was more than I imagined. The old world charm charmed everyone in the house. The bedroroms, the pool and the grounds were a dream! The kitchen was stocked with every kitchen gadget we could think to use...it was impressive beyond words. - Lavelle S., ,

Comfortable and stylish, very relaxing! A private resort with a mix of rustic and modern decor. Very eclectic and romantic! We loved that there is so much privacy for each couple staying there, every bedroom is it\'s own private retreat. The pool and pool deck are the perfect place for morning coffee and an evening drink. We will be back! - Kristine H., Oregon, USA

There were 10 women, 4 of whom were celebrating their 50th birthday\'s. We decided to celebrate in style and with Hacienda Las Palmas, Old Hollywood style is exactly what we experienced. From the beautiful, spacious, lush grounds, to the amazing sitting areas, the huge pool, well appointed bedrooms and baths. We had an absolute blast. - Maryanne B., ,

Hacienda Las Palmas is a large estate with beautifully designed and appointed interiors. The concierge service provided is top drawer, and the house has all the amenities. The pool area is run down and definitely needs some upkeep. For that resaon, I would not stay there again.
