We come to Palm Springs probably once a year and have always stayed in hotels. This time are party was bigger and we fancied a change. Very glad we did as it certainly was an excelent villa with everthing you could possibly think off and more besides! We arrived on a sunday evening and your the concierge had already been to the property and met us there as we arrived. Really couldnt fault it at all. - Steve L., ,

Although the house and property were very nice, I wish I could say it was a perfect weekend. We arrived in the late evening. It had been a very warm day and we had expected the house to be cool when we arrived - but it was obvious the a/c in the house had only been on for a short time. It took quite a few hrs to cool. We found the pool and jacuzzi too cold and dirty to swim in that night...so our first night was a total loss. We were very disappointed. Unfortunately, we also found that the a/c in one of the bedrooms wasn't working properly so one of our guests had a tough time trying to sleep all weekend. We arrived to dead flowers in a vase in the front hallway and very little toilet paper and cleaning supplies, and the kitchen stove didn't work well. We were given supplies the next day, but it's not the way a luxury retreat should be presented to a client. I'd expect the onsite mgr would see that all of these issues where handled BEFORE clients arrive at a property. - Lisa H., ,

We had a terrific time at the Mel House. There were four couples and we all felt we had privacy as well as lots of space to share. The house and grounds were immaculate and the art work and furnishings top quality. Our concierge, Paul gave us some great suggestions including the Escena Country Club for Happy Hour and the Kaiser Grill for dinner before the PS Follies. We all enjoyed our tour of the \'Elvis Presley Honeymoon house\' lead by Priscilla look alike Darling Presley. - Alan J., California, USA

We loved this vacation. It was different from what we are use to. Never rented a house so, was a bit nervous. But, surprisingly very happy with the ammenities and the lovely house. It was clean and ready for a family vacation. We loved the Mel House! First time we brought our dog, which was great. Really loved cooking in this house and loved the separate, bedroom off the backyard for the brother n law. Would love to visit this home again. Close to golfing for my husband. He golfed at 3 different courses. - Kim D., ,

Everything was great about the house and had all of the extras that we needed. Washer did not work and did not realize it until our last day there before we left. Other than that everything we needed and more was provided. - Cary J., California, USA

We stayed at Mel house for my husbands 50th birthday. It was the perfect place to spend time with friends and relax! We appreciated that each of the 4 bedrooms had its own ensuite bathroom (no sharing required) and the layout of the rooms gave each couple complete privacy! It was so nice being able to wander out to the kitchen in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunshine by the salt water pool! So much space to stretch out and it\'s within walking distance of palm canyon drive (about a mile or so). - Lori C., California, USA
