Man is this place cool. You're really going to enjoy your condo. It's got all the bells and whistles! And there's plenty of room for your stuff. But that's only the beginning. The first thing you'll notice is that this is a really upscale place. All decked out for a great vacation. Lot’s of neat stuff. Let me tell you about it.
The LIVING ROOM is a gathering place for everyone that features a comfortable sofa that opens up to a queen size sleeper. There’s really neat decorator lamps that create a warm glow in the room. A great place to kick back and watch the 35” flat screen TV. There's surround sound too! Can you dig it?!? The remote that can switch channels from anywhere in the room. And there’s a DVD so you can play your favorite movies. Or if you like, surf the web on the high speed wireless internet that’s available. But why would you want to do that when you can look out at a spectacular view of the beach and the gulf. Floor to ceiling sliding doors. How about that!?!
The MASTER BEDROOM features luxurious king size bed and private bath. This room is something else. The bed’s really comfortable. I checked it out. Almost fell asleep. There’s great art on the walls. An oversize dresser. Another flat panel TV. There’s plenty of space to store your beachwear in the spacious walk-in closets. You can even surf the net from in here on the wireless. You’re really going to enjoy zoning out in here after a day of “beaching.” Here’s the cool part. You’ve got floor to ceiling sliding doors for an incredible view from here!
The SECOND MASTER is equally well appointed with a comfortable Queen size bed and plenty of space for everything you’ve brought to the beach. This large bedroom is a great hideaway because it not only offers a place to catch up on your favorite book. And you can log on to the wireless from here too! Our family had 2 condos. Both were great. We had a few maintenance issues with the units but all were resolved quickly and professionally.
The location could NOT have been better. Beautiful beach, close to shopping - it was perfect.
We would definitely go back again.

The condo we were in at Calypso, was supposed to have had a queen size sofa sleeper. It did have a sectional but the mattress that pulled out was no larger than a baby bed mattress. I suppose they counted the coach as part of the "queen size sleeper" but this sectional was certainly NOT a FULL SIZE queen size sleeper which caused sleeping issues. A couple of the rooms didn't have working lights. How can the cleaning crew not notice that some of the lights were not working as they were cleaning? Speaking of the cleaning crew, the condo was VERY clean. The kitchen had the very basics in the way of cookware and the condo didn't have any type of grill on the property. We grill out alot when we were at the beach so if that is my fault. I would have never chosen the Calypso if I had of noticed there were no grills. The bunk beds were very uncomfortable, even for kids and the master bed seemed to have been broken or something was wrong with it. You were fine as long as you didnt sleep in the middle of the bed. When you look at the bed, there is an obvious hump right in the middle that goes from the top of the mattress to the bottom. Not sure what that was about. We did have a great time regardless of the issues we had with the condo. Fact of the matter is that we rented from an individual last year at the Grand Panama in the 2nd tower. She was incredibly nice and very easy to work with. That condo was stocked with anything and everything you could have possibly needed so perhaps we were a bit spoiled to that. We didn't rent there this year because we wanted to be ON the beach. If I had it to do over with, we would have stayed at the Grand Panama regardless of it being across the street from the beach. From now on, I think I will find a condo that is rented by the individual owner and not a rental company.

We were scheduled to stay at the majestic but at the last minute we were moved to the Calypso and had no choice but to stay there. It would be fine for people who wants to go shopping a lot. I have children and it offers no amenities other than an out door pool. The rooms need to be updated too. It was very spacious and the outside is very pretty. Close to Pier restaurants and attractions.
"Great location. Great complex. Great amenities. Not so great con"

Calypso is most likely the best place to stay on the beach. Best Beach Getaways is a very nice company to deal with. The people are very nice also. 2308W left a lot to be desired. We stayed in Calypso before and loved it. We still love Calypso but we will never stay in 2308W again. A very nice veiw from the balcony but we couldn't stand to go out there because of the bird poo that look like it had never been cleaned (my wife went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned so that we could least stand out outside. the chairs were in bad shape and very dirty also). The unit is not very well equiped. Lacking some basics kitchen supplies to get through the week (we went and bought our own). Carpet and decor just made this condo uninviting. I hate to sound like I'm bashing but it is what it is.
