PLATINUM LEVEL CONDO FOR 10! OPEN LABOR DAY WEEKEND! CALL BEFORE IT'S GONE!
WELCOME TO SPLASH 1401 EAST!
We purchased this spacious condo at the beach, a few years ago, so that we could have a home away from home. We selected 1401 East because it is spacious and comfortable with great views of the beach and the gulf from just about every bedroom. Each year we try and improve our condo to make it the most desirable in Splash. This year we added beautiful tile floors in the main living areas, new living room furniture, lots of new décor items, flat screen TVs, a new dishwasher and washer/dryer. We’ve also freshened up the beds with new linens.
Our condo is a three bedroom, three bath, beach residence that sleeps up to 10 comfortably because of the large living area in every room. One thing you’ll notice right away is the spectacular view of the world’s most beautiful beach from every room. And, each bedroom has its own balcony!
We like to bring our binoculars along when we come so that we can enjoy our morning coffee while watching the dolphins playing in the gulf. Sometimes it seems like they are close enough to touch. Since we spend time here ourselves, we make sure that this condo is decorated for maximum comfort. We want to create a feel of home at the beach for us as well as for our guests. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the unique features of this wonderful beach environment:

The rental company was TOP NOTCH. I was treated with very much respect and generosity. They called mid-week to check on our stay. They worked with us to provide an early check in time. Everything from making the reservation to checking out was very easy and smooth because of their professionalism. I will definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend them!

Upon arrival, there was trash in every bedroom, including: water bottles, coke bottles, snot rags, candy wrappers with some candy still attached; food crumbs all on the carpet and around the wooden bunks of the queen bunk beds. Snot was smeared on the wall of the guest bedroom. Coke had been spilled on the kitchen floor and it had splattered on the wall and base board. The king sized bed (in 2nd master) support system was broken. The light in the 2nd bedroom would not come on, nor would the lamp work. There were candy wrappers in between the sheets of the 1st master and the master shower had mold. Blood on the curtain in the master bedroom. The throw rugs were nasty, carpet was not vacuumed & carpet was heavily stained. The sliding glass windows were dirty. The kitchen hutch & table were nasty with food debris. The placemats had rice embedded in them. Mold in guest shower also. We asked cleaning lady to change the sheets in all bedrooms; we asked that the bunk beds be cleaned around them (vacuuming where the wood meets the mattress) but this was not done. We began to change the sheets ourselves. When we lifted up the mattress, we discovered even more filth under the mattress. We cleaned the nasty hutch and dining room table ALTHOUGH we pointed this out to the cleaning lady when she was there. Since small children were staying at the condo, we did do some cleaning before the cleaning lady arrived. The door to the AC room was covered in heavy dust. There was a gap between the carpet and tile that had food and trash. Food in the couch, under the couch; in the dining room chairs. The carpet was never cleaned. Numerous phone calls were made to BBG, but they never returned my call. We paid high dollar. We expected this dollar amount to result in cleanliness and customer service, but it did not! I will discourage anyone that I come into contact with, from staying at Splash or going thru Best Beach Getaways.

Splash was great. But the unit 1401 was a bit rundown. Mainly the carpet; it was noticeably worn with many stains. Also the unit on the surface was clean but underneath stuff and in the cracks and crevices there was lots of dirt and food particles. It could use updated flat screens so the teenagers can hook up their Xbox.

We liked the unit however there are some areas of improvement for splash. They are
1. The riptide pool cafe open sporadically
2. The mini bowling alley was out of order
3. The lazy river and water park temperature was very cold
4. The attached wildlife did concern my family a great deal
5. There was a domestic violence incident while we were there that required police to be involved. Not a good thing for my children to see.
Next time we will probably look at another location. This is not reflective of the unit so that is clear.

My family enjoyed our stay at Splash. I have only a few comments---The lamp in the apt was broken in two. I touched it and it fell apart. There were several overhead lights out. Especially the one in the entrance made it difficult when entering after dark. The cook ware needs to be replaced. The large skillet was well worn and there was only one skillet. Other than just a few small things we had a wonderful time and will be back next year.

The only thing that I didnt like about our unit was... The washer made to much noise, & the heating element was going out on the dryer. It took about an hour & half to dry clothes. Also, the bunk bed needs new plywood for the top mattress. Everytime that our child turned over we thought she was going to fall down on us.
“Disappointed for the price and the fact that there is no refund”

We had a late arrival time because the carpet had to b shampooed due to last tenents spilling spaghetti sauce. Carpets still wet and slippery. Drapes hanging from rod in living room, broken end. The only three frying pans had no teflon left and in very bad shape.
We did contact the property manager upon arrival, however the drapes were never fixed and just hung half off the rod. A maintence person came and delivered a new cook pot and 1 frying pan, which did help, but I returned 3 frying pans and it took some jugling to have only one pan for a week. The furniture had seen better days also, not the cleanest. Overall, the location is good and the end unit was a benefit, but for the cost and the issues going on, this was a disapointment. I would stay at Splash again, just not this unit.
“My family and I stayed at splash resort from 5/1/2010 thru 5/8/2”

We enjoyed our stay there. We love the west coast of Fl. The only disappointments we had were the indoor water park , which is open to the ocean. When we arrived it was overcast and the wind blowing in from the ocean made it too cool for the children to play in the water park. A huge bucket in the play area that fills with water about every 30 seconds and then dumps on the kids below could be dangerous to small children.
