Tidewater Beach Resort opened in March 2008. So, it’s just like new! It’s a luxury resort is ideally located on a large expanse of sugar-white sandy beaches along the Gulf of Mexico and convenient to area dining, shopping and activities, Tidewater Beach will give you a world-class vacation experience. It’s got amenities aplenty designed to please. Make a splash in one of the large beachfront pools, enjoy a refreshing beverage at the poolside tiki bar or just relax with a peaceful stroll along the beach.
The glamorous life comes to Panama City Beach with the arrival of Tidewater Beach & Resort. It’s the newest reason to vacation at Panama City Beach. And it’s a place that you’ll enjoy calling your vacation place year after year not just this year but every year.
When you’re “beached out” (like that’ll happen), there’s lots of other fun located right around this resort. In fact there’s a new shopping experience that’s pretty close that I want to tell you about. Pier Park is really something pretty spectacular. It’s a million plus square food shopping area (like a mall at the beach) it’s got a ton of stuff. There’s a Dillards, Target, Penny’s, Ron Jon (my second home); there’s a 16 screen movie-plex. All kinds of restaurants. Panera Bread for a quick bite, Longhorn Steakhouse & Outback. And get this: there’s a Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville, you know, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere. And, if you want a Café American Double Shot Vente it’s got a Starbucks. Can you imagine? Starbucks in flip flops. Oh, and during the summer there’s going to be free concerts for the whole family. How cool is that?!?
If you’re coming down for a kid sports tournament, you’re pretty close to the Robert Brown Park, where they host a lot of them.
Here’s the scoop on the condo.
Man this place is something else! Check out the photographs of the décor. It’s got a very distinctive upscale look at feel. Not sandy beachy, but upscale beachy. It really makes the most of the room in every room. There’s plenty of space for all your beach stuff, but that’s not why you’ll pick this condo. It’s got great views. Plain and simple.
The LIVING ROOM sofa is big and comfortable. The entertainment center, which has a big TV, looks like a 35”. The DVD player lets you play movies when you’re beached out. Or, surf the net with the high speed connection. But, I gotta tell you, the views are gonna make all that pretty tough. You’re eyes will wonder to the beach every time. You’ll like the balcony, too. It’s really comfortable. And the views, the views ...
Check out the MASTER BEDROOM. Huge king size bed with a with a beautiful Caribbean carved headboard. Look at the wall colors. What a great space. And the bed’s really comfortable. I laid down on it to see how it felt. Almost went to sleep. Really makes a statement. It’s really spacious. There’s another pretty big TV.
There’s also a kid-friendly bunk room for sleeping and playing.
The KITCHEN’s a beauty with granite counter tops. It’s open and has everything that you need, so no matter whether you’re cooking your specialty or just fixing grilled cheese sandwiches you’ve got everything you need to please the family. There’s a big kitchen bar with four bar chairs so you can grab a quick bit before you hit the beach.
The DINING AREA has a big table, really comfortable so everyone’s got a seat at the table. No kid’s table here.
The LAUNDRY area is well located, so keeping everyone in clean clothes is a breeze.
These bedrooms and the pull out sleeper sofa in the living room, make sleeping room for six with two complete baths.
Hey, this condo is a big beautiful place at the beach. And it’s priced right too. You can’t go wrong at Tidewater! It’s got everything you want in a beach condo and it’s going to book up quick.
Additional amenities include: washer & dryer....Read more

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Tidewater. The condo was clean and in good condition. The only disappointment was the condition of the living room furniture. There was a lounge chair that you could not sit on without sinking to the floor. This left only the couch and when friends were visting someone had to sit on floor or on stools. Also, pidgeon poop on the balcony prevented us from enjoying as much as we would like to as it was not only on the railing but on the floor and some of the chairs. Otherwise, great condo in a good location. Would stay there again.

The condo was nicely located and the building itself was nice but a little upkeep is needed. I would have guessed it was way older than 2008. Elevators are slow but I guess that's to be expected with as many floors. It's not too bad except check in/out times. One elevator was out of service during our stay. This unit needs some TLC. Walls need paint, living room furniture needs replaced, King mattress is worn out, stains on bar chairs, and balcony furniture is old and rusty. Had to buy toilet paper, only 2 half roll for a week's stay! Drain's were backed up. I was most upset about not getting FREE beach chairs and umbrella's like they told me. Best Beach Getaways should refund me $200 which is the cost of the chairs for a week. That was my deciding factor on whether to rent this condo or another.

The condo was fine. The disappointment is with the management company. When we booked the agent was very nice and explained that when we got there, all the info would be on the counter including how to get our beach chaos and umbrella. We were very pleased to not have to bring chairs with us. When we inquired about the chairs we were told we didn't get them. So we called . My wife left a message. No call back. I called a day later and was told a manager would call back ASAP . That never happened either. So we are not inclined to recommend to our friends or clients ( I run a furniture business called Rooms to Go) we do tons of business in your area and speak to many prospective renters.

Enjoyed our stay at the Tidewater. Lovely beach. Great condo. Bring your beach towels, beach chairs and shade from home. Expensive to rent. Great friendly area. Eat at Rusty"s. Great crab claws, oysters and cheap pitchers of beer. Also, don't forget Buddy's seafood market. Will steam your shrimp, bring it back to your Condo, eat with fingers on your balcony overlooking the Gulf. Just delicious.

Overall the condo was nice. The furnishings were tasteful but the lounger needed cleaning. There were several areas that needed a deep clean including baseboards, tile grout. The balcony had areas of bird poop on the deck and furniture that obviously had not been attended to in quite sometime. The balcony furniture need either replacing or painting as the chairs were quite rusty. The sliding door was very difficult to open and the vertical blinds were not operational. We in fact managed to open them enough so we could go in and out the door but they were so fragile that we opted not to touch them in fear that they would break. The only other negative was the need for hot mitts and a cookie sheet in the kitchen. But with a little TLC this unit could be fantastic as the layout is great with the master bedroom over looking the beautiful ocean, as well as, it being very spacious. The bunk area was great in that they were located in a small room and not in the hallway as many of the units have. The bunk area also included a closet making the unit almost a two bedroom two bath. The building amenities were all very nice as well.

We have used Select Homes / Best Beach Getaways often in the past. The service is always fantastic and properties are great. Especially appreciate the express check-in and key-code locks.
Will happily book with you again!

Had a great time at the Tidewater. The room was clean and very comfortable. Only complaint is that the internet service was too weak to pick up sometimes and had to pay extra to park a vehicle taller than 7 foot.

When we first arrived to Tidewater 809 we found the condo a MESS! The floors were filthy, haiballs all over the bathrooms, toilets that haven't been cleaned and to top it off, food was discovered in the master bedroom bed. It was obvious no one had cleaned our condo! I was very surprised to find the condo in this shape since we are returning customers of Best Beach Getaways and last year the Sterling Breeze condo was in wonderful shape. When you have to clean you condo upon arrival it takes some luster from the vacation. Also, when we arrived there were no parking or pool passes. We called Best Beach Getaways and a nice young lady brought some over right a way. when she saw the condition of our condo she was not surprised and said "our cleaning crew is known for doing a poor job and we have weekly meetings concerning this problem". It sounds to me that this is a recurring problem that Best Beach Getaways needs to resolve. Long story short, this was enough to make me realize that this was the last time my family will plan a vacation through Best Beach Getaways! Best Beach Getaways, you should be ashamed to allow anyone to enter one of your properties before you can inspect the condition and cleanliness!!

Overall, we had a great stay at the Tidewater Resort in Panama City. The beach was great and the room was in good shape and clean. The staff was very helpful.
The only two issues at this property during a busy time is that there are not enough elevators and the waits can be ridiculously long. The second issue is the only parking is in the garage across the street. If you have a luggage topper you only have about 15 or 20 spots. Once those are gone you either have to take the topper off or risk being towed in the ground parking. I wish the resort had outside parking available.

We thought the condo was very basic and were disappointed in it's cleanliness. We had to request a vacuum cleaner to be able to clean. It was delivered promptly thanks to Pam at BBG. The kitchen needs more utensils and a baking/cookie sheet, potato peeler, mixing bowls etc. would help. One dishcloth and dishtowel is not enough.

We were disappointed in the kitchen - lack of potato peeler, cookie sheets etc. Also no vacuum cleaner. But Pam at Best Beach Getaways was VERY helpful. We also had to ask for the use of the phone which was indicated on the VRBO site but when we arrived it was not hooked up.
