“NICE, CLEAN, BEACHFRONT & OCEAN VIEW!! What more could you ask for?”
Left on 06/27/2015 for a stay in June 2015 | Tracy KReviewed Jun 27, 2015Stayed Jun 2015
Very nice unit! We stayed there from the 13th-20th oh June. It was great! Nice, clean, well stocked with everything. Easy check-in, easy access to the beach and pool. The beach is not crowded at all not are the pools. Very fast elevators! It is very close to St. Andrews Park, which is a must to visit. We traveled with our 2 children (16 girl & 13 boy) & our 2 small dogs.
Pet Friendly!!! If you take your furbabies with you like I do on vacation, this is a wonderful unit for you too! There is a VERY large doggy walk area! Although pets are not allowed on the beach here, right down the road at the pier they are. Oh, also, they are allowed at St. Andrews Park too (seriously you need to visit). Now, for you non-pet owners. I have a very sensitive nose. I can smell the slightest of things. This Unit smells as if there has never been a dog there! I have a male Shih Tzu and female Yorkie that both go crazy when they smell other dogs. The only thing they were drawn to was the carpet in the bedroom. Not that is smelled at all to us humans but to my babies it did. Nothing else distracted them and that is very unusual. PCB Fl. Resorts have a PHENOMENAL HOUSEKEEPER!
As for the negative review above, do not let that deter you at all. I honestly think they are just sour grapes. The bed was the most comfortable bed my husband and myself have ever slept on (actually I was wanting to ask what it was, we forgot to look before we left). Neither of us woke up sore or stiff like usual. We slept like the kids were at Nana's for the weekend! As for the "cockroaches" they are called Palmetto's. They are just a part of Florida. They are NOT FROM DIRTY UNITS. They like the warm climate. In our 7 days there we saw 5. Two inside and 3 out on the balcony (they live outside). They do resemble the cockroach a lot but trust me, they are not.
The only things I can say negative about the condo is 1. That we had to wash every dish we used before we actually used it. Looks like people did not pre-rinse before loading the dishwasher and their was food bits on majority of the dishes. PCB Fl Resorts are quick, easy and VERY polite with the initial check-in (you have to check in at the rental company office down the street and at the actual Condo itself). However, I cannot say that about the resort itself. Other than check-in at the resort, no one spoke a word to us besides other vacationers. So don't expect the staff at the resort to speak to, acknowledge, smile at or do anything to interact with you while crossing paths.
In closing, rent this condo without any hesitation!
We are so glad you had a nice visit. Thank you for sharing the positive comments. Please keep us in mind when you are ready to create some more great memories. Ask about our returning guests discount.
“The worst condo I have ever stayed at”
Left on 05/03/2015 for a stay in April 2015 | 2015vacati0nReviewed May 3, 2015Stayed Apr 2015
We stay in FL almost every year, but I've never written a review before. I chose this condo partially because of 4 positive reviews, so I am writing to help others avoid repeating my mistake. When we arrived, we realized that the condo was in a very bad condition: the unit was extremely dirty (kitchen utensils and dishes had food on them and had not been sanitized, there was sand in the bathrooms, towels were dirty, there were cockroaches in the kitchen, dishwasher was very dirty; there was also dirt on the ceiling near the vent, indicating that the filter had been dirty); the mattress was impossible to sleep on, the inflatable bed had a hole and deflated after couple hours, the dishwasher was broken and had standing water, the ceiling was broken in many places. We notified the management company that we cannot stay in the unit and asked for another unit or refund. The manager refused to give a refund and said that no other units are available. We had no choice but to stay in the condo. Despite promises and attempts by the managing company to take care of the problems, the problems remained: the inflatable bed was replaced only on the fourth day (we stayed seven nights) and dishwasher was never repaired. We also had to clean the unit for several hours when we arrived. Our spring break vacation was completely ruined...
We requested a refund of cleaning fee and partial refund of rent. I really hope that the management will satisfy this reasonable request (will keep you posted). This condo needs serious renovation before it can be rented again.
This review was written after we were unable to accommodate demands that for an upgrade from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. The guests (4) people rented a one bedroom (king bed) and a sleeper sofa in the living room. They requested assistance because a grandmother and teenage grandchild didn't want to share the sleeper sofa. The day before their arrival we offered and they accepted an inflatable mattress with pillows and full set linen. The family was traveling and PCB was one of the stops on their trip. They arrived a day early and were given access to the unit on Friday, the night before their scheduled 4:00 p.m. arrival on Saturday.
Before going to the unit they insisted on an upgrade to a larger unit. It was a holiday weekend and we were full. We could not accommodate their last minute demand. The complaints about the unit were not made until the family had stayed in the condo for 24 hours and cooked at least three meals. The brand new air mattress was exchanged on Saturday because the guests said it had deflated during the night. They insisted again on moving, we were unable to move them but provided the 2nd of what would become 3 brand new air mattresses. Staff went to the unit On Saturday and again on Sunday to address concerns. The dishwasher did require service because the final rinse cycle was not draining after the dishes finished the dry cycle. We requested to send a Appliance repair company to fix the dish washer but the guests refused stating they did not want to deal with any intrusion. The third day we provided mid stay housekeeping which is not normal for condominium rental. The guests did not have any further complaints until after they had checked out. Note they did leave the condominium in horrible condition including damage to the coffee table with paint and or nail polish. Their full deposit was returned to them on time. They demanded a $300. discount and refund of the housekeeping fee which we did not provide. They did advise they would make negative reviews and social media damage. We hope that all potential and future guests will consider the one negative review in light of the four positive reviews on this property.

We really enjoyed staying at Pelican Walk, it has two outdoor pools and a spa. The grounds are well kept and this unit has been completely upgraded. This unit is close to the elevator and has really great sunset views.
THANKS for the compliment. The owners of this Pelican Walk condo, "Pelican's Perch" have invested a lot of energy and time to make it a beatuiful and comfortable place to stay. We hope you captured some nice pictures of the amazing sunsets visible from the balcony. Panama City Fl Resorts will be happy to assist you as soon as you're ready for to spend more time on 'the world's most beautiful beach".
