This PLATINUM rating condominium unit is one of the most sought floor plan (Beachcomber). This condo has just been refurbished with new tiles and fresh paint. Our condo has a large gulf front master bedroom and large gulf front family room. This unit is a spacious unit around 1400 sqft living space plus large private balcony. You are guaranteed to have a breathtaking view of the ocean, white sandy beach and the surrounding. Unit is fully furnished and will accommodate up to 8 people comfortably.
LARGE GULF FRONT MASTER BEDROOM has king size bed and large private bath with separate tub and shower. There is a large window and sliding glass door to access your private balcony. This bedroom also has a big closet and television.
SECOND BEDROOM has Queen Size bed, television/DVD player and big closet. It has beautiful view of the lagoon.

DINING TABLE seats 6 and 3 more will be able to seat at the bar.
LIVING/FAMILY ROOM has the queen size pullout couch, coffee tables, 32' Flat Panel High Definition Television and DVD player.
There is a large window and sliding glass door from the living room leading to the large private balcony. You will be able to see and look at the beach and ocean when you are in the kitchen area, dining area or living room.

Found the condo online. Made payment easy enough with owner. Made it to the condo. Great location. After a long wait with only 2 elevators we made it to the condo. The condo is very large. It is furnished with just enough to look somewhat full. The professional decorator should be fired. Lacking pictures and such. Did not pay for that stuff anyway. Walked in to a large foyer with a large window looking out to the walkway. The entire sill was wet and starting to mold. The sheetrock and paint coming loose from the water damage. The first bathroom we saw had mold along the entire shower curtain on the outside and the floor was moldy and such. The shower curtain does not even touch the bathtub so when people take a shower the water goes and floods everywhere. Been happening a while from looking at the damage. The rest of the condo was good. The pull out bed needs replacing as it was not fit even for one of the kids. Most of the springs to it are in a drawer next to the sofa so that explains it. Balcony and view is awesome. The venue is awesome. The last 2 days we did not have air. Flip Key referred us to Sterling who said they cant do anything since we booked thru the owner on Flip Key. Call to him and he apologized yet did nothing. After asking for a 2 day refund so we could get a place with air he refused. I opened the AC door and found the filter date of 11-01-13 and this is 6-1-14. The filter is filthy. Then I look at the coils and they are totally coated from lack of service. Then a sterling guy shows up 2 hours later and changes the filter and says he cant help me with anything else. Call the owner he says. Find the door to the outside unit and it is not coming on at all! Owner called no one to fix, offered no solution but said we paid and open the doors and use the fans. 90 degrees and raining by the way. The next issue....My door opened then shut. Then I went to check on it. I have a large black gentleman with no uniform and gloves walking back to the elevator. An hour later my door opens again and shuts quickly. As I walk to the door my daughter who startled the man asks who the man was at our door with gloves. I grabbed my gun and ran after but he already had left. Called security which by the way is only by calling Sterling 1888 number and being transferred around. Hour later a guy comes to the door and scans the door reader. Comes back and says it was housekeeper and it was being addressed. No explaining or nothing. This guy was not housekeeping the way he was dressed as all housekeeping wears a bright splash shirt. This guy had a housekeepers key and was going to rob us. Asked for the police to be called and never heard anything back..... Bottom line after using VRBO and never having an issue and having owners that always took care of issues, I will never use FLIP KEY or this unit because the owner could give a crap less about you and your children sweating away on vacation. A simple call to a AC tech would have fixed the problem. Terrible customer service so do not be tempted to use this unit because of the great price. In the end you are on your own. First, I would like to thank you for leaving a review here since this is a resource that I use to make corrective actions.
Second, I have addressed all of the issues you experienced to my property manager and actions were taken.
As the A/C problem; the whole Splash building (both towers) had problems with their HVAC during your stay. All owners were working diligently with the Splash home owner association to resolve the building problem and take measurement. As you noticed, many people were having HVAC issue while you were there as well. It was not just on this unit. I had to wait a word from Splash HOA that they resolved the HVAC problem for both Splash buildings and towers before I could make any call or repair.
I appreciate your call about the filter condition and coils. The A/C filter was replaced right away while you were there. The coil was cleaned when the unit was empty (a day after you left) to avoid any further trouble. It was very unfortunate that you were there when all of these events happened. The HVAC in both Splash tower has been repaired and cold air is blowing to the condo unit again.
Regarding someone trying to break in. Security is usually very tight at Splash. They have security going to each floor and looking out from the beach every so often. You would not be able to even smoke at the balcony or anywhere at Splash, they will confront you (just an example). I personally have reported this issue to the Splash general manager right away after we talked on the phone regarding this incident. I had been informed that they have taken care of this issue by changing all of their housekeeper keys and brought an authority to Splash to investigate further.
No matter where you rent or what unit you rent, you could always have something out of ordinary happens and kind of ruin your vacation that is beyond anyone control. I am so sorry it happened to you during that time.
I actually just sent you a gift card yesterday. I know this will not change anything, but at least that I could express my apology again; I am truly sorry to what happened to you and your family in the last part of your vacation.
Finally, I am very proud of my condo unit and have maintained the best I could. There have been many tenants that rented for short term and long term; they all happy with their experience staying in my condo unit. People tend not to leave any feedback when everything is going well, but will write something when something bad happened to them.

We had a little get away and we really enjoyed our stay. It was my first time using Flip Key and actually going through the owner Edwin. He was very prompt to my email questions. Had a little trouble with tv service but they did fix it after a few days. Staying on the 19th floor has its ups and downs. Being so high we saw marine life swimming around in the ocean.
