“Luxurious, spacious comfort in a prime location in Paris”

Our stay could not have been better. Our schedule was busy and tiring, but coming back to this lovely apartment was comforting. It is very spacious for Paris and the location is great. It's close to the metro, lovely markets and nice restaurants. The apartment is furnished very nicely and is clean.
Working with Joanne, the owner, made everything go very smoothly. She made us feel at home before we ever arrived. Heri greeted us and helped us get a taxi on our departure.
All in all I can't say enough good about our experience in this apartment.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, we really appreciate it and we're so glad that you enjoyed your stay in our apartment!

“Wonderful week living like a Parisian in the 9th!”

We were looking for a nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in Paris to accommodate my husband, myself and our two grown children, not an easy task. This apartment was just what we were hoping for. It is very spacious, large windows in every room, lovely furnishings ( the owners live here part of they year) and the most comfortable beds ( very important to us). Also, the kitchen is equipped for foodies, with every possible kitchen gadget to make a wonderful meal ( and we made several), and the bathrooms had recently been renovated and were beautiful. I was so excited to get up in the morning and take the lovely wicker grocery bag around the corner to the best shopping street-I loved the Patisserie, where I got fresh bread and pastries, my daughter became friendly with the fromagere, who had the most delicious cheeses, e produce stand was farmers market quality, and my husband couldn't get over the quality of meats at the butcher.
The apartment is also so centrally located, very close to several metro stops, markets, covered shopping streets and we could walk almost anywhere in the city within 20 minutes. Best of all for me, the best chocolate shop just down the street! The owner was very responsive and helpful from my first inquiry, patiently answering every question I had, and providing lots of helpful information. Her caretaker, Heri, met us the first day to show us around, and was always available when we needed him.
There was also a booklet with restaurant recommendations, sight seeing, etc, which proved very useful. Al of this made our week stay so memorable! Thanks Joanne for everything, what a beautiful way to experience Paris.
Thank you so much for the positive review, we really appreciate the input. We're so glad that you enjoyed the apartment and managed to discover the great shops and sites nearby, and to live like Parisians!
“Perfect Paris rental”

This was a wonderful Paris apartment that was perfect for 5 adults and one child. It was spacious, elegantly appointed, and central to wonderful restaurants, markets, and metro. It was large enough to be my family's central meeting place after busy days exploring Paris.
The rustic kitchen was a favorite for us in the mornings and evenings. It was a joy to experience Paris from the viewpoint and comfort of a beautiful home.
We are so glad you enjoyed staying in our apartment and that you discovered the neighborhood restaurants and markets too. Heri told me that you are a lovely family and we'd be glad to see you back in Paris anytime!
Thanks again for taking the time to send the review, we really appreciate it.

“Lovely and spacious apartment in the Opera area”
Left on 04/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012 | A FlipKey verified reviewerReviewed Apr 26, 2012Stayed Apr 2012
We stayed in this apartment for a week over Easter. It was wonderful to have a home base in Paris that was roomy enough for all of us (4 adults and 2 kids) to stretch out after hours of sightseeing. The apartment is large and comfortable, with an eat-in kitchen, a large living room and a dining room as well as three bedrooms. We enjoyed cooking and eating in the apartment (and saved money that way over eating all our meals out).
The living room has two deep velvet couches perfect for reading or lounging, and both the living room and bedrooms have wonderful old windows with beautiful grillwork overlooking the street (which was relatively quiet.) The location is nice, a real Parisian neighborhood with cafes, bakeries and right near La Mere de Famille, a fantastic old-fashioned chocolate shop. It is also near the covered shopping arcades filled with antiques, old books and other finds.
The apartment has a washer and dryer, and includes a computer with internet and a printer, which was very helpful for making advance reservations for some of the top sights and printing out them out. There is also a sound system so you can listen to music throughout the apartment.
Both the owner and the manager were very responsive, answered all of our questions promptly and provided very helpful information about the apartment and the neighborhood, local restaurants, etc. all in English.
While we were there the elevator was broken, so we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs, which could be a problem for some people, but wasn't a big deal for us. Though the apartment is ideal for a family, it would not be good for small children as the furnishings include fragile objects. Also worth noting is that the 4 bathrooms are actually two small rooms with toilets, and two rooms with showers (and one bath), typical of a building of that vintage.
We look forward to someday returning for another stay here.
“Live like a local in this huge Parisian apartment”

There is nothing I can say that was wrong about this apartment!
We are a family of 5 (with three young kids) who spent a wonderful month in Joanne and Stephen's apartment in the 9th. Our aim was to try and live like a local, and we did just that. The location of the place is wonderful - walking distance to many Parisian highlights, 5 min walk from two separate metro lines and around the corner from hundreds of food shops and cafes.
The size of the apartment was huge - plenty of room for a large family! Bedrooms were big, the kitchen was very well stocked and the living spaces were perfect.
Although we rarely used her, the lovely property manager was also on hand to help us (in English!) whenever we needed.
Definitely worth staying! I hope we'll be back some day.

I fully recommend this 5 star apartment to anyone, even the most discerning. Staying in this beautiful home was such a treat. Fully stocked with all the linens/towels that we needed, the kitchen had every appliance and utensil one could imagine.
The 9th arrondissement I had spent time in before but this neighborhood is beyond charming. Very easy access to the Metro and finding taxis in the evening was no problem.
The only thing I didn't like about my stay was the day I had to leave (as it meant going back to reality). I definitely plan on using this apartment as my "pied-à-terre" in Paris.

We didn't want to leave! From the moment we walked into this elegant apartment, my daughter and I felt as if we were living like Parisians. The location was great - we found loads of good restaurants nearby, convenient access to public transport, small grocery stores, theaters, a market street, and a taxi stand.
The apartment itself is very nicely decorated and spacious. The overall layout worked well for us, with large living areas and an eat-in kitchen.
I would highly recommend this rental property, and would stay again if the opportunity arises.
