Additional Location Information

The Saint Honoré Apartment is located in the 1st arrondissement on the famous St. Honoré street. This is one of the oldest areas of Paris situated on the right bank of the Seine and just a stone throw away from the Louvre Museum – although stone throwing is not recommended.

The Louvre is a central landmark of Paris and one of the world's largest museums in the world. “The Louvre, in its successive architectural metamorphoses, has dominated central Paris since the late 12th century. Built on the city's western edge, the original structure was gradually engulfed as the city grew. The dark fortress of the early days was transformed into the modernized dwelling of François I and, later, the sumptuous palace of the Sun King, Louis XIV” – History of the Louvre: from Château to Museum.

The apartment is also neighbour to Rue de Rivoli, a historic and commercial collonade walkway with shops that include the most fashionable brands in the world. It bears the name of Napoleon's early victory against the Austrian army at the battle of Rivoli.

A leisurely stroll away and you'll arrive to the Tuileries Gardens, St.Germain, St. Michel, Notre Dame, Place Vendôme, l'Opera; a little farther, but still a very walkable distance are Le Marais and Concorde-Champs Elysées. In addition to the great shopping in this areas, there is a number of markets, bakeries and pastry shops as well as outstanding restaurants and bistros.
