DESCRIPTION FROM THE OWNER:
Newly renovated 2 Bedroom & 2 Bathroom apartment with elevator and excellent security, located in the heart of Paris at the nice and very French neighborhood of 8th Arrondisement, which nests icons as the Champs Elysees Avenue (Arc the Triomphe), Elysee (Presidential) Palace, Parc Monceau and many other major places. Whether you are visiting Paris for romance, pleasure or business, you will find this apartment and its location convenient and pleasant.
THE APARTMENT has all the charm of the 19th century époque with full contemporary comfort, featuring a surface of 660 square feet (60 square meters) composed of: a separate entry hall; a 220 square feet (20 square meters) living room-dining room, hardwood floors and high ceilings; a FIRST MASTER BEDROOM with a queen size bed, served by its own compact, though FULL FIRST BATHROOM, with a regular sized shower, WC and a sink; PLUS A SECOND MASTER BED ROOM with 2 twin beds (that can be turned into a queen size bed) is served by a SECOND FULL BATHROOM, with a larger sized shower, WC and sink. Both rooms have their own closets and spacious windows. A hairdryer and standard linens (SHEETS & TOWELS) are provided, as well as a starting kit of Body & Hair liquid soap.
The apartment has windows over both fronts, with (street) and rear (courtyard) views, bringing in crossed ventilation and lots of natural light. Sun blocking curtains in bed rooms allow extended sleep if desired. Double-glass windows assure isolation, so even though the apartment is in the middle of Paris, it is extremely quiet.
It also counts with a SEPARATE FULLY-EQUIPPED KITCHEN with standard refrigerator/freezer, 4 burner electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, bread toaster, all dishes and cutlery.
A laundry closet, apart from the kitchen, provides standard size washer and dryer machines. Iron and Ironing board are permanently available.
The apartment is FULLY AIR CONDITIONED and has Wireless Internet connection, a standard printer, a 32” TV and cable service. Amenities include FREE LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE service to a limited list of local land lines as well as to land lines in many countries, including: Continental U.S., Australia, Latin America (except Bolivia), China, Denmark, Western Europe, Finland, India, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand and many other countries.
Please note this is a NON-SMOKING apartment; and, sorry, but NO PETS are allowed.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: The apartment is located in a residential street with a strong presence of local commerce, including several bistros, corner cafes, a variety of specialty restaurants. Withing walking distance are the Opera House Garnier, Madeleine and Place Concorde, among others. Rue de Levis' market, a very vivid and picturesque local market of the neighborhood and Parc Monceau are only few blocks away. Not to be missed.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION is fully accessible from the apartment, with 3 Metro stations (Rome, Liege and Europe) and several Bus Stops. A “Velib” station (inexpensive service of bicycles) is just around the corner.- Gare St. Lazare, one of Paris' most important train stations, is only few blocks away, providing trains and connections to major destinations as well as many other services, including Car Rentals.
PUBLIC PARKING “Du Pont de l'Europe” is only few steps away from the apartment, offering 24/7 parking service.
OTHER SERVICES: restaurants, art galleries, hair stylists, laundry services, small markets, florists, bakery, pharmacy, high-end rug's boutiques and even violin makers (“Luthiers”) are spread all over throughout the very same street where the apartment is located, giving the “rue” all the unique flavor and Parisian charm that the street and neighborhood have.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO NEARBY? Buying cheese, fruits or French food “to take” in the nearby vivid market of “rue de Levis” or right across the street; having coffee or eating in one of the many cafes, bistros and restaurants spread all over the neighborhood; visiting the beautiful Parc Monceau or just walking around to admire the gorgeous buildings, avenues and streets surrounding the area, will certainly be among your favorites things to do. Big department stores (Galeries Lafayette and Printemps) are also nearby.

Our family of four (parents and two sons, 18 & 20) stayed here for our first trip to Europe - first stop: Paris. It was a perfect home base for exploring this beautiful city.
Located in a residential and merchant/market area it was a very safe walk to the nearby (minutes) Metro station or to the sights. About 15 minutes walk to the Opera house and 30 minutes walk to big ticket items like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc.
Nice neighborhood for shopping (Monoprix grocery store a 10 minute walk) and lots of cafes all a buzz at any hour of the day.
The apartment was clean, modern, had remodeled bathrooms and all the conveniences you would need for a stay.
It was about 30 minutes from the airport. At the end of our stay, taking the Metro to the Gare du Nord (train station) for the Eurostar was easy - even if you don't speak French (and we don't).
The booking and payment process was pleasant and efficient working directly with the owner - who was helpful and easy to communicate with. The cost for our stay - while the most expensive city on our tour - was very reasonable for Paris. I shopped around a lot to know. I also overheard travelers discussing their small hotel room on the Eurostar and was grateful for our two bedrooms, two full baths, and kitchen.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to a couple or small family for their vacation - and would not hesitate to stay here again ourselves.

Es un apartamento tan bien situado, que está en un lugar muy apacible, sin ruido, con pequeños comerciantes y artesanos parisinos, y al mismo tiempo, a escasos metros de zonas muy activas, con muchos restaurantes, mercaditos callejeros -Rue de Lévis-, y hasta la Gare Saint Lazare.
