Additional Location Information
Trocadéro can be understood to be either the plaza that stands across the river from the Eiffel Tower, or as the overall hill that includes more than just the plaza - two theaters, a restaurant, and several museums, including, making your way down the hill, the musée de la marine, musée de l'homme, the "cinéaqua" aquarium, the city's modern art museum. Across the way is the palais Galliera, ie the fashion museum. You also have the Tokyo Palace and Museum of Modern Art near to it so it's really a good place for Museum.
Located South of the Arc de Triomphe, on the North side of the right bank's chic 16th arrondissement, Trocadero is a public square framing the Palais de Chaillot. The square itself is modest, but the name has become synonymous with the affluent neighborhood surrounding it. This ritzy district is filled with upper-class establishments and boutiques, all with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower.
You have good restaurants in the Plaza such as "Carette" : one of the best parisian patisserie/ bakery, and the brunch is insane !
The Trocadéro, a stylish, touristy area The exclusive Trocadéro district is a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Palais de Tokyo and the Champs de Mars. Very popular with tourists, this site offers unobstructed views of chic Paris, nestled in the heart of a historic district. Many embassies are based in the area, bringing with them a bourgeois population. Far from working class Paris, the Trocadéro district wins people over with its luxury appearance, its great food, and its formal atmosphere. The Palais de Chaillot and its collection of museums With a surface area of more than 13.5 acres, the Palais de Chaillot houses several museums. You can discover the Musée de la Marine and its impressive collection of models.
