This apartment was the perfect base to explore Paris. Everything was as pictured and advertised. Marie was very responsive. The apartment was well equipped. The location is in a vibrant area, close to many attractions and the Metro is nearby. I stayed for two weeks and felt like a real Parisian. I hope I can return...soon.

It was my first time staying in a VRBO property. Hotels are just so impersonal and expensive compared to all the benefits to staying in an apt. When I travel, I want to be more comfortable and have a more homey feel away. The only thing I was worried about was getting the key without getting lost. After I read the other reviews on how easy it was to obtain, I booked the place. Marie sent us very easy instructions and we had no problems. We didn't need a lot of space because we knew we would be out a lot. Its so nice to wake up, especially on your first day with jet lag, and not have to figure out where to get breakfast. Marie left a nice binder in the flat with info for grocery stores and local cafes. We went the night we arrived and bought some food for a light dinner and breakfast for the morning. The Apartment was perfect size. I gave my Mom the bedroom and I took the day bed. It has a wonderful bathtub too. We got to wash our clothes and they hung dry in only a day. Its not large but who cares! You are in Paris! Its in the best neighborhood and so easy to get around. There are cafes everywhere, an ATM on the corner and only a five min walk to the Metro. Everything is so close! It is a little home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and a VRBO is the way to go from now on!

As our taxi driver drove us onto the street he nodded and said, "this is good!" But he was wrong, it was way better than good...it was perfect for us. We watched the moon come up every night from the window that looked over the rooftops. Cooking simple meals from food we bought in the neighborhood helped keep our expenses down. Buying beautiful and delicious pastries in the same neighborhood did the opposite for our waistlines. But all of the walking helped. The Marias neighborhood was safe and clean. We did walk into the main tourist part of Paris almost daily. And, the greatest gift of all was the fabulous large bathtub that relaxed the tired legs. Our landlady Marie was very nice and very helpful.

This apartment was just right for my solo trip to Paris. The location is central, the bed and furnishings very comfortable. I especially liked the view from the window. I could watch the sun rise over Paris in one direction and see tiny Sacred Coeur in the other. I can attest that the AC works well although I only used it once to cool down the apartment during a very hot September week. The phone and internet shut off periodically and need to be unplugged and plugged in again but once you get that figured out it's not a problem. Communication with Marie was great, even when there was a problem receiving my initial deposit check she was flexible in working things out for me. The Metro stop at St. Paul is just a few blocks away but it is easy to walk all over Paris from the apartment. My only complaint is there is no boulangerie around the corner, just clothing stores, but Miss Manon on rue St. Antoine was an easy walk. My favorite falafel place is one street over. I discovered an organic food store nearby the day before I left, would have been handy to know that location when I arrived. Monoprix on rue St. Antoine was a good place for both food and gift shopping. Briezh Creperie has a little take out place right next to the restaurant if you don't want to wait in line. All in all, I loved staying at this apartment and will happily do so again.

I've stayed twice in this apartment and would go back. It is clean and well taken care of. The owner is wonderful to work with---a real bonus! It is well located in a lively and historic area with lots of small museums, cafés, restaurants, and boutiques. It's just a quick walk to the subway. And there's a nice view that lets you know that you are in Paris! I have recommended this property to friends and would do so again.
