This elegant yet functional apartment is located in the heart of central Paris, in the 1st Arrondissement. In about 10 minutes on foot you can reach the Louvre Museum, the River Seine, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera, and the Pompidou Centre. The Marais District, Latin Quarter and the 6th district are also easy to explore on foot from the apartment; all are an easy 15 to 20 minute walk or quick metro ride. The RER trains are very close for access to Disneyland and Versailles as well as the airports.
This apartment is in a typical 19th century Parisian apartment building, and offers a high standard of comfort in a convenient and quiet central historic district, for a reasonable nightly rate.
The Les Halles Two Bedroom apartment is situated on the European 2nd floor (3rd US) no elevator and faces both the street and courtyard; five windows and a small balcony with 2 chairs face the street. The bedroom areas are not located street side, so there is no noise from traffic.
The apartment, at 80 m2 (about 856 ft2), is suited for up to 7 persons wanting a comfortable living space for their stay. For two families traveling together rent this apartment and our ID #16 which is on the same floor right next door. This provides accommodations for up to 11 persons.
The apartment is very comfortable and well furnished, with traditional wooden floors and quality area rugs, two large stone fireplaces with gold framed mirrors from the late 1700's, and traditional ceiling beams.
The layout is quite functional, as the entry looks into the kitchen/dining area and also into the living area. The bedrooms are independent of one another with independent access to the large bathroom.
The Les Halles Two Bedroom living area is spacious with three large double glazed French windows looking out onto the street, one of which opens onto a small balcony with two chairs. The living space includes a sleeper sofa which can sleep 2 persons, armchairs, coffee table, fireplace, TV with basic cable such as CNN and BBC and traditional wooden floors.
The kitchen was renovated in 2002 and is a very complete, designer style kitchen with plenty of counter space and storage areas. The kitchen includes a double sink, an oven, large refrigerator, four electric burners, microwave, toaster, washing machine, a smaller table and all of the basic kitchen necessities that you will need. The kitchen has a wooden bar area that opens onto the formal dining area, with fireplace, wooden beamed ceiling, wood floors and area rug as well as large dining table and chairs. The dining room has two large windows that look out to the street.
The main bedroom is at the end of a small hallway and the bathroom also is off the hallway. The bathroom is large by Paris standards with both a bathtub as well as a shower unit, and two sinks as well as the toilet.
The main bedroom looks out into the inner courtyard area and is reasonably large, with a queen size bed, a large armoire for storing clothes, book shelves and bed side tables as well as a small desk with a computer for your use, with high speed cable Internet access.
The second bedroom is more of a guest bedroom, and is smaller, with two single beds, a small armoire and a luggage rack. The second bedroom, while fine for sleeping two persons, is not large and does not have any windows. There is also a walk in closet in the entryway of the apartment where some clothing can be stored.
All beds, including the sofa bed, are of good quality. There is an additional single good quality fold out bed located in the apartment for a 7th person or in place of using the sofa bed. The beds will be made up according to your request.
Additional amenities include: towels/linens, small balcony over street with 2 chairs, washer/dryer, wc, queen bed in master bedroom, dining table for 6 persons, bathtub & shower unit, fold up cot available for a 7th person, 80 m2 (about 856 ft2), two single beds in second bedroom, extra cleaning service available for additional fee (the apartment is clean on arrival), double sinks, free calls to north america, free high speed internet access; wi-fi or ethernet, double pullout sofa in living room, non-smoking apartment!, all dishes, utensils & glasses, 2nd european floor walk up (3rd us) no elevator....Read more

I read a food writer's book about her life spent chasing chocolate and macarons in New York and Paris on the plane to Paris. What a treat it was to learn that the food lovers' street (Montorguiel) on which she lived was just around the corner from this Les Halles apartment. If you want to eat well all you have to do is step outside you door, turn left twice and choose amongst several blocks of open-air cafes flanked by patisseries, bakeries, confectioners, wine merchants and fresh seafood stalls. If you want to cook there are multiple gourmet supply shops from pots and pans to artisan products.
The apartment was roomy and had multiple windows which opened onto a lively street. There was a weekly farmers' market on rue Montmartre. The kitchen was stocked with staples and the dining area had ample counter space. It was very convenient to have a washer during my stay. There were umbrellas, books, Dvds and guides to Paris provided in the apartment. The room that accommodated two beds would work well for children or shorter adults. The main bedroom was fine for two average sized adults. The VIP staff were professional and responsive and the owner was also nice when I had to contact him about the WiFi access. I would recommend this service and the apartment to future visitors.

I can't say enough about this quaint little 2BR unit in the heart of Paris. Just a short walk to Notre Dame and The Louvre it was also a convenient walk to both the RER and Metro. I would have to say my favorite local amenity had to be Rue Montorguiel just around the corner. This pedestrian street was a veritable melting pot of culture with Italian, Greek and French restaurants abound. Numerous grocery stores, bakery's and cheese stores helped us stock up on all the essentials for snacking in the apartment.
The owner also left a handy binder with numerous tips and suggestions for a pleasant stay.

We really really enjoyed our stay at Les Halles, the style and location of the apartment made us feel part of the Parisian way of life. The size was perfect for our party of 6 and the value seeing it comfortably accommodated all of us was unparalleled for being in such a close proximity to Paris central. The cafe's just around the corner was also real bonus and not to mention the railway station at the end of the street. Fantastic we'll be going back to stay at Les Halles again in the not to distant future.

We loved the apartment and location. After walking miles and miles through Paris, we all agreed we were staying in the perfect spot. The access to all the great markets and shops made it easy to have meals at home. The kitchen was well equipped and all of the living spaces were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if possible. A great vacation for sure!

We had 14 ladies wanting to go toParis at the same time.
We searched for apts and selected 4 different ones w/ VIP.
I was in Les Halles. Know that this apt is larger than most places in Paris. .
There are 5 separate beds. Two of these are said to be doubles. (that would depends on the size and snoring capabilities of each person). The 'master suite' could take 2 people. There are 2 single beds in one small enclosed room. They are not the same size. The room is functional. Some of the nights 2 gals slept there. The fold away bed wa a nice size. We did not open the sofa bed . The curtains need to be drawn over the windows as the afternoon sun makes the apt very warm. However, we opened the window and covered them witheh drapes and we asked for on more fan. whcih they gave us. The streets are noisy so take ear plugs. If you sleep in the front the people are up late. If you sleep in the back the deliveries come very early! .You can hear these. There are 2 sinks . There is a shower and a bath . We used the bath with the hand held shower most of the time. easy and fast and your hair did not get wet. The kitchen was just fine and the dining room is large . We invited others over for dinner once and brunch once. Several books in English. We left a Paris for Dummies' book for the next renters. At this area: There are street vendors on Thursday and Sunday-very fun. Several tried to short change us. So do mention the amt. you are handing them. ..so there will not be any confusion.
There is a bakery just 2 doors down; the croissants and crumbles are great! Yummers! All the restaurants nearby are good. Close enough to the Seine to walk if you want.
We used G7 taxis as VIP suggested and were never disappointed. We would rent this apt again. Or anything else VIP has to offer after this great experience. After all we used VIP for 4 different places.

We loved this apartment. It was very large and comfortable. We were there with our 4 children (aged 6, 9, 11 and 13) and found that we had plenty of space. The living room was comfortable, the dining room and kitchen were large and well equiped. The computer with internet access was a bonus.
We loved the neighbourhood as well. Les Halles is close to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Tuilleries, etc. Almost everything is within walking distance. The street is lovely and there are lots of good restaurants and fantastic food shops everywhere. The kids loved playing in the square at St. Eustache church.
My only negative comment about the rental experience is that we had to buy toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap. I would expect to provide my own soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. but I would have expected dish soap and toilet paper to be included in the price of the rental.
We had a truly wonderful vacation. I would highly recmommend this apartment and would love to stay in it again.

My family loved this apartment and its location. It was nicely furnished and very large by Paris standards. There were several nice (and inexpensive) places to eat. A market is located close by for food. It was in walking distance to many attractions. We hope to return to Paris in the future and hope we can rent this apartment again.

We stayed in this absolutely gorgeous apartment for a week in July 2008. There were 5 people in our family- 3 children and 2 adults.
It was beautiful and clean and the location was awesome.
I highly recommend this apartment as it is walking distance to major transport and close to many attractions.
In the street below the apartment a fresh food market is held twice a week and the street is blocked off to all cars. Amazing!
We thought it was fabulous and would definitely try and stay there again if we were to visit Paris again.
