The apartment, at 43 m2 (about 460 ft2), is compact for a two bedroom apartment but well planned out to sleep 6 guests comfortably. It includes two smaller individual bedrooms off the main living area. The bedrooms include large built in closets; one bedroom has a double bed, a second bedroom has two single beds, which can be made into one king sized bed upon request. The living area also has a double sofa bed that sleeps two. All beds, including the sofa bed, are of good quality ensuring a good night's rest.
There is a separate kitchen area with stove, refrigerator, washer/dryer unit, and other kitchen necessities for light cooking. The bathroom is in very good condition with a shower unit and a separate toilet room, for easy access by all.
The main living area includes the sofa bed, a dining table/chairs, cable TV including CNN, BBC and movie channels, coffee table, armchairs, telephone and a large window overlooking the quiet building courtyard.
This apartment is in the heart of the Marais district, in the 4th arrondissement - an excellent location to take advantage of Paris on foot and to discover some of the most quaint, fashionable and historic quarters of the French capital. A two bedroom apartment in this area of town, at this price, is extremely rare, allowing a small group to enjoy the privacy of two bedrooms at a reasonable nightly rate per person. The nearest metro is Saint Paul which is less than a 5 minute walk.
Next door to the apartment is the Hotel Sully, a magnificent mansion and gardens built in the early 1600's by the Duc de Sully. Today it houses exhibits and the gardens are open to the public. Just around the corner, just about a 3 minute walk away is the lovely Place des Voges. The Place des Voges was opened in 1612 and is considered one of the most delightful historic areas of Paris. The poet Victor Hugo lived in an apartment on the square for many years. Not to be missed are the boutiques, outdoor cafés, restaurants, and art galleries lining this area and on the adjacent streets around rue des Franc-Bourgeois.
Conveniently located directly across the street from the apartment building are the shops of the Saint Paul district, where locals do all their grocery shopping. The trendy Bastille area, traditionally renown for its fortress-prison which was stormed by mobs at the start of the French Revolution, now boasts one of the largest and most important Opera houses in Europe as well as many of the latest bars, cafés, modern art galleries and chic restaurants. The Bastille area is a ten minutes walk from the apartment. Other major historic sites are also nearby....in less than 15 minutes on foot you can reach Nôtre Dame Cathedral, the Seine River, Picasso Museum, City Hall, and the recently renovated and reopened Pompidou/Beaubourg Centre. The Louvre Museum, Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elyseés are easy to reach as they are just a few stops away on the same metro line--for example, the Louvre museum is just 4 metro stops away or can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes.
This apartment is on the 2nd European floor (3rd US) with a large window overlooking the courtyard, ensuring the main living area remains sunny and quiet. The apartment is perfect for a family or small group of up to 6 persons.

The location in the Marais was great as we could walk to Notre Dame and the metro was very close. The value and comfort of staying in a 2 bedroom condo vs. a hotel could not be beat as we were staying over the Christmas holidays and it was as comfortable as home. The ability to cook meals saved a great deal of money over 10 days ( and grocery store was across the street).

I'm very glad with Vacation in Paris organization and the landlord who lives there and it's very sympathetic (I call him by phone).
It's a normal small house. Very nice for a short break or hollyday to know the city. The kitchen is very little but with everithing you need. Bathroom with shower and toilet separated. The bedrooms (2) one double and one twin were confotable. Small living room with sofabed and a table enough for 6.
The location is perfect. Next to St. Paul metro and near Bastille metro. You can go by foot to almost every atractions and neighbourhood. Next home you have supermarket, japonese and asian delivery food, gourmet wine and cheese shops, bakery for the morning croissants, lots of restaurants...
If you'll come to Paris to visit the city, It's perfect, nice and value for money. If you expect a very confortable home don't choose it. There's no lift and you must walk along the inside stairs so if you have problems walking don't choose it.

The location was excellent. Near everything including metro stop and grocery store across the street.
The apt. was okay for four people, but six is pushing it. Had a dark hallway that wrapped around with no light switch visible. Kitchen was very tiny. Furnishings were fair, but then again we were away most of the day. This was okay if you are gone most of time and in only at night as there was a large window that overlooked some type of glass covering and that was not a view you would want. We were on 2nd or 3rd floor and no elevator.
As indicated, this is a good location and was not that bad. Very clean, comfortable, quiet and homey. We spent 4 nites and really enjoyed the fact that we were located so centrally. Area seemed pretty safe and we were not expecting anything glamorous and we knew we would be gone most of time. I would recommend for 4, but not 6 people.

This charming apartment was great for our family - compact, well appointed and in the fantastic Marais district- close to the metro, great cafes , walking distance to Notre Dame etc It is ideal for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, who want a well priced, comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful city of Paris.

This is a very cosy and comfortable apartment, there were 4 of us and we loved it. Excellent location, so close to Notre Dame, the gorgeous historic Marais, wonderful food shops and the metro station. The furniture and fittings were in a good condition, it is easily accessible from the street yet very secure and we felt it was excellent value for money.

I stayed here with my son and father. Plenty of places to eat out or get something take away for eating in the apt. Keep in mind that if you go in August many of the food shops will be closed down. The location was terrific, interesting and convenient.
It's not really two bedrooms as one bed is the sleeper sofa in the main room but for a family no problem.

We spent a week here with our 2 children (6 & 8 yrs) and were very happy with the apartment. It was well-located, we could walk to the metro and there were lots of places to buy food nearby. It was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen was a bit small as is typical in Europe but fine for preparing simple meals, with a great Deli nearby we ended up buying lots of pre-made dishes anyway. It was quiet & a good place to relax between sightseeing.

It worked fine for our family of 5 with kids ranging from 15 to 10.
It was fairly small but fine for the 5 or 6 days we were there. A bit squeezy around breakfast and dinner times, but easily enough managed - and we were not hanging around it much as we were off seeing the sights.
Location was good. Supermarket, chemist, bakery etc all very close and the kitchen was adequate (small) so it is easy to self-cater.
I think we had a bit of an issue with the washing machine not working or not working well (or maybe we just couldn't work out how to use it). I can't quite recall.
This apartment worked just fine for us and the location was pretty good.

There were four of us, all adults over 50. First time visit to Paris for 2, repeat visit for the other 2. Perfectly situated for explorations throughout the city. The weather made the apartment perfect as it was cool and comfortable. Had it been much warmer, we might have had problems as cooling was available only through one window. Everything else was perfect, plenty of comforts, enough space for all of us, easy access to stores, good information made available by the owner. Would return again.
