Looking out on a quiet courtyard that is graced with trees and greenery, this charming studio has a corner ‘niche’ for the bedroom area, a good size sitting room and features a separate kitchen that has most everything you will need to cook or simply bring prepared food home to reheat. The bathroom is functional, with a shower, a bit on the small side, but easy to use, good size sink and the WC inside. It features a towel warmer, which you can also use to heat the bathroom itself, or even hang clothes on it to dry if you wish.
There is a large flat screen TV, featuring a cable system and several English language channels (BBC, CNN, etc.) and a telephone that allows free calls to some countries such as North America. Please see the house book for more information.
The apartment was recently renovated and is in great shape. It is 25 m2 (about 270 ft2) and is on the 3rd European floor (4th US) with no elevator. The stairs are a little steep but do have a good handrail. There is a closet for clothes hanging and storage of suitcases as well.
This is the 5th district, not far from the Luxembourg gardens; stroll there on a sunny day in just over 15 minutes. The main feature and great attraction of course is your surrounding neighborhood, with so many small cafes and charming restaurants, plus the fresh produce of the farmers’ market. Stroll around and refortify yourself with an afternoon coffee, take pictures of the amazing colors at the market stalls, and eye the ubiquitous bookworms slowly sifting their way through pages of the first time editions books at the many book stores. This is a serene corner of Paris, more relaxing than the large busy boulevards. A very old corner as well, as the Place de la Contrescarpe dates back to around the 14th century. Hemingway made his home nearby and you can call this your own corner of “ La Mouff” …!
Additional amenities include: iron/board, wc, bright apartment with large windows & a skylight!, extra cleaning service available for additional fee (the apartment is clean on arrival), small table with 2 chairs, flat screen TV & cable with some english language channels, 3rd european floor walk up (4th us) no elevator, microwave which works as grill as well, under counter refrigerator, nicely renovated with newer furnishings, 25 m2 (about 270 ft2), free calls to north america, free local telephone calls, coffee maker, please specify preference at time of booking, shower, towels & linens, free high speed internet access; wi-fi or ethernet, double bed which can be made up as two singles -, towel warmer, non-smoking apartment!, stove top with 2 vitro-ceramic burners, all dishes, cutlery & glasses....Read more

We had a great stay. The apartment is small but functional. Everything worked in the apartment. Having the free phone calls to the us was an extra plus. We thinknk it was one of the best areas to stay in. It was a great value for our money. There is a variety of restaurants within a five minute walk. There was an excellent bakery less than fifty feet from the entrance to the apartments. We had fresh croissants every morning for breakfast. You do need to be in pretty good shape since there are three flights of steep stairs to climb. It is a good way to work off the extra calories. We would return to this apartment.

We couldn't have picked a better location for our Paris getaway! We were able to walk practically everywhere (including the Right Bank) when in the mood, and the Mouffetard neighbourhood itself is wonderful. Being able to get fresh baguette and croissants thirty steps away from the building was just one of the very many charms of the place. A great little place for couples in love!

Living in the community with the locals was a very inciteful and satisfying experience ... using the metro ... shopping in the local supermarket ... eating at the local cafes ... buying produce at the streetmarkets ... wonderful!

It is a perfect spot for 2 people, with all the amenities you will need for your stay. There is a laundromat 100 yds from the apartment, several restaurants out the door and a Carrefour for groceries and essentials. It was cold but the apartment was well heated and had a towel warmer. The kitchen was well equipped and the Wifi and free phone calls to North america were great. Metro close by . We had s slight problem with the TV but it was a non issue. To enjoy a glass of wine, cheese and olives in the comfort of your own pied-a -terre in Paris was priceless.
I would hesitate to recommend the apartment to all because it is on the top floor reached only by a narrow ,winding staircase. It was better than a step class for me!!

The corner studio at Rue Mouffetard was everything I was hoping for and more. It was larger that I expected, with many more amenities. The Rue Mouffetard Market was exceptional, as was the market at the Place Monge nearby. We wanted an "everyday Parisian" experience, and I'm pretty sure that's what we got. There were at least 25 very good, affordable restaurants, cafes and bistros within 5 minutes walking of our apartment. The nearest Metro stop was less than 5 minutes away.

Right around the corner from a wonderful market street, 2 blocks from the metro and a pleasant walk from some lovely areas. Apt was quiet, small. Beds were fine, but only 2 chairs to sit on in the living area made it a bit cramped. Service was prompt and helpful.

The apartment was a great location - it was easy to fall in love with the neighbourhood and Paris in general.
There was an issue with the heating - there was none and the evening temperature deeped to 3 degrees celsius. As well the towels were damp when we arrived and required a day to dry out. The apartment was missing a wine opener but we purchased one and left it for future renters.

This apartment was a great place to stay. Very convenient to metro, restaurants and a lot of top tourist spots. The apartment was clean and quiet although small. it had everything you need for a comfortable stay although the shower would not be suitable for a large person. As it was on the third floor without a lift would not recomend it to people who have trouble negotiating stairs. Vacation in Paris was extremely helpful and good to book with and would recomend their services to friends and family.

It was wonderful to be able to 'go home' in the evenings after pounding the pavements of Paris. Knowing this area well, I was surprised how quiet the apartment was and I had no idea there were little courtyards in the area like the one we overlooked. The only downside was dragging our suitcases up and down 3 flights of very narrow stairs but once up, the apartment was great. We aren't very savvy when it comes to remote controls and the TV was challenging to say the least though this did mean we had more reading time! The Visitors' Book and some general information (local restaurant recommendations, etc.) would be a great benefit to renters who are not familiar with this part of Paris.

The best part about this studio is the location. Right in the centre of the action in the Latin Quarter - it is such fun to wander around the immediate area and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes. The apartment is tiny but is well appointed and had everything we needed.
Very good & reasonably priced restaurants are on your doorstep as well as a good Boulangerie for Baguettes or Croissants to start the day. After a days sightseeing around Paris you can recharge your batteries with a quick shower or nap and then wander out again.
We were lucky enough to be there for the summer solstice and the french Festival de Musee - every corner square had live music until after midnight and we joined in with the locals dancing on the steps of the Parthenon - simply magic!
"La Mouff" is close enough to walk to many Paris attractions including the Louvre, Notre Dame, Parthenon, Musee d'Orsay and the Lovely Jardin de Luxembourg or Jardin de Plantes.
Take your walking shoes and explore - then catch the metro or batobus back when you are tired.
Everything was very straight forward with the booking of the apartment and we are recommending it to our friends. One warning - don't drop the soap in the shower... it is so tiny it is hard to pick it up again!!
