This is a wonderful apartment, one flight up on the 1st European floor (2nd US) that has been completely renovated from bottom to top, finishing in June 2012. The property owners are in the fashion business and love Paris - and it does show! They have thought out every detail, to ensure both their stay in Paris, when they come to visit a couple of times per year, and your stay is very comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends, separated by a grand salon which is a combo living room and kitchen area. It can easily accommodate up to 5 adults + 1 child, with large comfy beds and the luxury of 2 full bathrooms!
This apartment is located in a bustling and vibrant area. The owner has installed all double paned windows to help reduce noise, but some may still be sensitive to it . As the windows are large and plentiful, there is a good deal of light to make this feel open and even larger than it already is. The high ceiling have been stripped or ‘opened’ to expose the original wooden beams, dating back to the 18th century. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, sink and the WC, so it is private to this bedroom. The other bathroom is accessed off the entryway, and is open for all guests to use, with a shower, sink and WC as well. The second bedroom is quite large with plenty of closet space. It features two twin size beds that can be separate or pushed together, please specify your preference at time of booking, to form a queen bed, and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. The living room has a very comfortable queen size sofa sleeper, with an extra thick mattress which is easy to use. Both the large bedroom with the twins/queen bed and the living room area feature an air-conditioner, to cool down for those few warm summer days after you have been out shopping so much!
The kitchen is open to the living area, and is accompanied by a large dining table for up to six people. The kitchen has all you need to cook or just reheat delicatessen items, and there are many great ones around! See below for amenities.
There are so many places within easy strolling distance; Notre Dame, Blvd. St. Germain and St. Michel, Cafes Deux Magots and Café Flore, the River Seine for boat trips and picnics on its banks, and of course, all the wonderful small bistros and cafes just outside your door. This apartment is next to one of the best shopping areas downtown.....rue Bonaparte and Blvd St. Germain, with top brand names stores a few steps away; Yves Saint Laurent, Max Mara and other top brand names stores are close to the apartment. Transport on the nearby metro is simple, just a 2-minute walk away. Come and enjoy the best of Paris in this rich and vibrant neighborhood. Maybe one of the top ‘faves’ on your list will be this beautiful Parisian home, so well appointed and tranquil, - just for you!
This apartment requires a "Meet and Greet" - guests will be met at the apartment and given the keys at that time.
Additional amenities include: two twin single beds or 1 queen in 2nd bedroom - please specify at time of booking, wc, dining table for 6, 2 burner induction range top, coffee maker, toaster & tea pot, sink, non-smoking apartment!, combination washer/dryer, 1st european floor walk up (2nd us) no elevator, queen bed in master bedroom, extra cleaning service available for additional fee (the apartment is clean upon arrival), 51 m2 (about 550 ft2), property keys are given upon arrival at the apartment by the local manager, shower, DVD - us & european format, with blue-ray, free high speed internet access; wi-fi or ethernet, free local calls to local land lines & mobiles, free calls to land lines in north america, western europe & australia, linens & towels, all dishes, cutlery & glasses, queen sofa sleeper in living area, under-the-counter refrigerator with small freezer, cable TV with 500 channel selection, including some english language news channels.TripAdvisor property ID 4599714...Read more

Can't say enough about the Vacation In Paris service; everything was so easy. This apartment was warm, comfortable, and bright, and looking out on to lovely courtyard was a real plus. If you are looking for a place in the 6th or 7th, this is an excellent choice.

My husband and I and our 8-month old stayed in Paris for 4 nights. We wanted somewhere in a central location within walking distance
to the major attractions or to transport, with room enough for the baby to crawl around and that wouldn't break the bank. This apartment fit the bill perfectly! Only 5 minutes walk to the Seine and the Louvre, 15 minutes walk to Notre Dame, 5 minutes walk to the Bateau Bus to the Eiffel Tower...we couldn't have hoped for a better location. The apartment itself is large for Paris standards and very, very comfortable. The bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. The kitchen is modern with all you could want - coffee maker, toaster, microwave etc and heaps of different utensils if you wish to stay in and cook. This worked well for us and the baby. There is little outside noise at night to keep you awake but the floorboards are very, very squeaky which makes tiptoeing around the sleeping baby difficult! For couples, this wouldn't be an issue at all. The linen and towels were great and the bed, for a fold-out couch, was very comfortable. It was good to be able to do some laundry and there are detailed instructions for the electrical equipment and a few directions to local shops/cafes etc. An elevator had recently been installed and we were very thankful for this with luggage, pram etc. For all this, the price was very reasonable. Overall, we were extremely happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this apartment. We shall certainly return!

This apartment is well located. The Jardin des Tuileries and the very well provisioned Monoprix grocery are easy walks.
The apartment is generally quiet, with the windows opening onto a courtyard rather than the street. The noise of street activities was minimal, although we did find some weekend revelers drawn to the Serge Gainsbourg memorial, but all in all this was not excessive for being in the city.
The apartment itself is a multistory walk up which is quite doable if you are in reasonable shape. We were informed that there are plans to install an elevator in the near future. The apartment is very comfortable with a newer couch and chair that are in very good condition; I believe these are among the best that we have experienced in our travels.
The TV got lots of channels. English language stations were limited to a variety of news oriented channels. Broadband (we used a cable connection) was fast and good.
The kitchen was compact, but well provisioned with cooking and eating utensils. We were able function quite well. You may wish to bring your own cutting knife if you like to do a lot of food preparation and are used to sharp knives. Having the dishwasher was a treat.
The bathroom was rather roomy, and it has a tub/shower. There is a combo washer/dryer unit located in the bath. As with most of these combo units they do take some patience. The owner left instructions in the apartment information binder. The bed, which is a sleeper couch, is quite comfortable.
The management was very responsive to a minor problem we had and we compliment them for that.
When we first entered the apartment, a bit zonked from the long travel day, my first impression was that it reminded me of some of my apartments in my student years, however I quickly warmed to it and it felt quite homey by the end of the first day. Our overall evaluation is that this is a nice place to stay and will we be booking it in the future.

What a wonderful way to spend the New Year's holiday! We spent 6 nights in this very centrally located apartment. We walked to the Louvre, Orsay, St. Germain de Pres which were so close to this charming and very large (by Paris standard) apartment. We loved the very modern ammenities and top of the line appliances in such a historic building and area. The bed was sooooo comfortable, much more so than my bed at home. We cannot wait to return!

This apartment was perfect! Just as advertised. A couple blocks away from the Louvre and Orsay, and Boulevard St. Germain. Bakery and convenience store nearby. Clean, quiet, nice amenities; comfortable beds, clean, modern bathroom, etc. It's four flights up, so wouldn't recommend it for people who have trouble with stairs, but otherwise, couldn't beat the location.

I found out about this apartment on Trip Advisor, and was not disappointed. Other than being located up a long set of old stairs, the apartment was neat and clean and everything we could ask for. There were 4 of us adults, but the rooms divided by a sliding wall. The location was great...near everything, including the 2 wonderful museums..we walked everywhere...we had a wonderful time, and would go back in a heartbeat!
