"A great place for a couple to enjoy the good aspects of Paris and escape from the bad"
Left on 07/26/2015 for a stay in July 2015
The best thing about the apartment is Virginia, the slightly manic manager who absolutely loves Paris and is blind to its faults. She is a fund of knowledge, is very helpful and has excellent English. I guess she can get by with other languages as she has lived outside France.
The flat has a marvellous view of the Eiffel Tower from dining/lounge room and kitchen. So every morning and evening you feel you are in Paris even while preparing food or eating or catching up with emails.
There is no aircon but even during a record heatwave sensible use of the shutters, double-glazed windows and use of the evening and morning breeze makes it comfortable. But the flat is noisy with the windows open. French emergency services seem to get a bonus if they use their sirens so their noise is disturbing when the windows are open. The apartment is above a complex of two major intersections so police vehicles and ambulances go by constantly. Also the French do not stop scooters and motorbikes having irritatingly loud exhausts and the traffic doesn't stop until 1 or 2 am.
The bathroom and kitchen are small, obese people stay away, you won't fit in, literally.
The apartment is within 100m of the Voltaire Metro station and bus stops so it's very convenient. It's also easy to find if you are walking as the two nearby intersections are of quite major roads so all you have to do is find one of them. If you are reasonably fit you can walk to the Seine. We even walked back from the Eiffel Tower after the Bastille Day fireworks but that was a bit too much.
There is a good, newly refurbished lift and the stairs and other group areas in the building have been painted...
"Our Home in Paris"
Left on 06/24/2015 for a stay in May 2015
This was our 4th stay in the apartment. It feels like home. Bright, sunny, roomy, clean and comfortable describe the apartment. The 11th arrondissement is an exciting place and with the metro and bus steps away all of Paris is truly at your feet. We love to sit and watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle each night as that is the view from the windows.
While the apartment is perfect what really makes it special is Virginia. Everyone who stays here sings her praises. Believe me they are right to do so. Virginia welcomes you with open arms and a "French" kiss on each cheek. You will feel like you have arrived home. She will make sure your stay is special and you too will leave wanting to return to your Paris home.
"Great, quiet apartment in a lively area of Paris"
Left on 07/07/2015 for a stay in June 2015
Key ingredients for a successful vacation rental: convenient location, attractive and comfortable furnishings, restful place to relax and revive after busy days exploring. This apartment has all that! It's on a quiet dead-end street in an otherwise vibrant busy neighborhood and an easy walk to great restaurants, markets, parks, attractions and public transportation. Very well-appointed kitchen and comfortable living and bedroom spaces. Interesting furnishings and artwork. Windows on three sides allow light and breeze to brighten the days and evenings. Good service by rental agency. Highly recommend.
"We love Paris in the springtime"
Left on 06/29/2015 for a stay in May 2015
May 2015 was our second stay in Saint-Louis Roof 3 ... and the apartment was even better than it was in October 2011. The only bad news ... Air France misplaced one of our suitcase for 4 days ... but thanks to the assistance of Paris For Rent's Eleanor and Suzanne in Paris and Emeline in Sausalito, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in fine fashion. The apartment is perfect in every way: absolutely clean, well-furnished, well-maintained and well-equipped ... and it has attractive views in four directions within the "village" called Île Saint-Louis. We took many photographs from the balcony [ http://www.jeaer1939.net/paris2puako/paree_02/index.html ].
The apartment's central location makes it convenient to explore the Left and Right Banks, the Marais and the Bastille/Saint-Martin Canal neighborhoods. Even Montmartre and Montparnasse are comfortable walks (and we are in our mid-seventies). Turn right at the corner of rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Île and you have a minute's walk to the excellent boulangerie, fromagerie and boucher/charcuterie plus "our local" church, Eglise Saint-Louis en l'Île. Opposite Eva BazArt, the store on the corner, (which my wife frequented frequently) is a reliable ATM. Across from the ATM is a épicier with great fruit and vegetables ... and toward Île de la Cité is a Nicholas wine store and a "supermarché". Across from the entrance to the apartment building is a small but well-stocked grocery store.
At 7, rue des Deux Ponts is l'Auberge des Deux Ponts, an honest restaurant serving generous portions of well-cooked home-style food. Within easy walking distance are three non-tourist restaurants in the 4ème arrondissement: Chez Julian, Cafe Louis Philippe and le Petit Célestin.
If we were to visit Paris again (and we are of an age where we do not buy young Gigondas...
"There is a wonderful apartment in the heart of Paris that deserves attention."

There is a wonderful apartment in the heart of Paris that deserves attention.
We fell in love years ago with Paris and have returned to the city many times to explore its many attractions and to share in the spirit of the city.
Usually, when being in Paris we have stayed in hotels.
On our last trip this past Spring we were able to rent a delightful apartment in the heart of Paris which provided us with a different perspective of being in Paris..
The apartment is in the 2nd Arrondisement, part of a historic complex of flats that is accessed from a cobble stoned street (rue D’Argout), and by walking through a large wooden blue entry door which brings you to a beautiful courtyard and from there to the apartment.
From the moment we entered the apartment we felt at home.
Our host, Martine of "Martinn keys 2 Paris" met us promptly as planned and as a kind and genial host made sure we were welcome and comfortable in the apartment..
A shuttered window allowed the mid morning sun to filter into the lovely sitting room.
The kitchen was spotless and inviting, with a place for everything we could need, even a juicer to make our morning "citron presse" (freshly squeezed lemon juice)..
A delicious hot meal was waiting for us as well as breakfast for the following morning.
The bedroom and bathroom were fresh and clean with a lovely bath and shower.
There was even a stacked washer and dryer.
Martine took the time to make sure we had our bearings, highlighted current exhibitions that we might wish to see, referred us to local bakeries and fresh food stores, restaurants and specialty shops.
Even before our arrival she helped me (Win) source a serene yoga studio less than few minutes away from our apartment. (email@example.com)
The apartment is located in...
Widely billed as the most romantic city in the world, Paris has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-see destination. An enormously influential center of culture, art, and fashion, this historic city is brimming with charming neighborhoods, breathtaking architecture, scenic views, and some of the world's best museums. When the sun goes down, you'll also see why Paris earned the nickname "City of Light."
While there are endless attractions for visitors of all tastes, the city's must-see sights include:
- L'Arc de Triomphe: This stirring monument is one of the most iconic symbols of Paris and it is well worth a visit.
- Eiffel Tower: No visit to Paris is complete without a stop at the Eiffel Tower. Take the elevator up to the highest level for an astonishing view of the city.
- Museums: Paris is home to some of the most famous museums in the world. If you only have time for a couple, make them the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Seeing all the Paris, France museums would take a dedicated holiday of its very own!
- Champs-Elysees: Spend an hour or two strolling up and down Paris' famous shopping district, and stop at a sidewalk restaurant or cafe for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Many tours of Paris, France originate on this famous boulevard.
- Notre Dame cathedral: This Gothic cathedral is considered one of the most impressive feats of architecture in the western world.
While you can visit Paris anytime and have a memorable adventure, spring is widely considered the best time to see the city come alive. Paris also hosts an impressive party in July, when France celebrates its national holiday, Bastille Day. If you're visiting with the family, Euro Disney and Paris, France go hand-in-hand.
Getting your own vacation rental instead of staying in a hotel is perfect for couples enjoying a romantic holiday, families visiting Europe and group vacations in Paris. Renting your own apartment for the duration of your stay gives you more space, privacy and better amenities than a cramped hotel room.
If you want to explore more of France, the famous palace of Versailles is a short train ride from the city, and the storied region of Burgundy lies just to the southeast. Head there for a sampling of world-class wine and an up-close look at French country life.
