This is a great location, just a few steps from the famed rue Montorgueil one of Paris’ oldest true market streets that remains today form the old large central wholesale marketplace, which was created in 1183 and torn down in 1971. This is a very lively pedestrian street full of cafes, shops, markets with farmers’ fresh produce, flowers, plus meat and cheeses shops. Of course some of the best bakeries are just around the corner from this holiday rental as well. You are sure to marvel everyday at the Saint Eustache Church which is just nearby, built between 1532 and 1632, with its soaring towers and massive size. This is a very central location, with 3 metros stops close by and within easy walking distance to rue de Rivoli and the Louvre.
The property owner ensured to provide a quiet and relaxing stay by installing new double-paned special windows, although the apartment itself is also on a pedestrian small street as well. The Paris holiday rental flat is 37 m2 meters (about 380 ft2) and has one bedroom with a double size bed, plus a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. There is also a fold-out futon which we recommend for a young adult, or anyone who is comfortable to sleep on the floor with this futon. The apartment will sleep up to a total of 5 people. There is a bathroom with shower, sink and WC inside, which is very modern.
The kitchenette corner offers lots of cupboard and counter space and features a 4 burner electric stove top, microwave, an under the counter refrigerator/freezer and plenty of dishes cutlery for all.
There is a dining table for 4 with bar type stools and a couple of brand new (as of Oct 2010) easy chairs to relax in after a day of seeing Paris.
The vacation rental apartment is bright and feels big, with the large windows facing out to the pedestrian street. It is on the 1st European floor (2nd US) walk up with no elevator. It features original artwork done by the owner, with several paintings on the walls. Bring your laptop as there is Wi-Fi connection and even a fax for your use! The phone offers free local calls and free calls to North America.
Additional amenities include: quiet, bright apartment with double glazed windows, wc, iron/board, 37 m2 (about 380 ft2), extra cleaning service available for additional fee (the apartment is clean on arrival), futon for the floor for a child, queen size sofa bed in living room (new february 2012), washer machine -no dryer, sink, towels & linens, coffee maker, 1st european floor walk up (2nd us) no elevator, free local telephone calls, shower, under counter refrigerator/freezer, free calls to north america, free high speed internet access; wi-fi or ethernet, flat screen wall mounted cable TV with some english language channels, cd/DVD, microwave - no oven, electric stove top with 4 burners, all dishes, cutlery & glasses, double bed in bedroom (new january 2012), non-smoking apartment!, dining table for 4 people....Read more

We found the apartment easily although it should be noted the street is closed to traffic most of the time so be ready to walk a hundred yards or so with your bags. Everything was as the site said , with lots of space, decent kitchen, and a great spot to be based. We could walk to 3 different metro stations, and were within walking distance of many attractions. The bedroom was spacious enough and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable! Our only gripe being that beside the sofa, there was not nearly enough comfortable seating in the apartment after a long day. The spare junior sofa bed is very small and we did not use it, but I would say it was only suitable for a child or very small adult! The TV was also very small, but this wasn't really a problem as there wasn't much we could enjoy anyway! Unlike other reviews we read about this apartment, we found the street to be very quiet, considering how busy Rue Montorgueil gets at night this was a welcome surprise. There are 2 restaurants opposite, but they did not pose any noise problem-indeed it was lovely sitting with the windows open watching the world go by below. The photo's don't really do the apartment justice, as the large windows are a big plus for this reason.
We ate locally most nights as there were loads of restaurants to choose from. We particularly like "Au Clare de la Lune on the corner of Rue Francaise just up the road for fabulous algerian food, and "Marie Stuart" on the fantastic Rue Montorgueil which was traditional. The waiters everywhere we went were charming and friendly to our two children aged 8 and 10. Unfortunately the prices were incredibly high especially the wine.
it was lovely to pop out in the morning and buy croissants and bread, whilst watching the shopkeepers set up-it is a really good street to be near, and there was a superb market in the adjacent street on Sundays.
All in all, just perfect ! We would definitely stay again.

Our twelve night stay at this property could not have been better. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of room to unpack and lots of shelving in the bathroom.
The Montorgueil area of Paris is a wonderful location. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and shops of all kinds. The atmosphere was so festive, we ended up eating out more than planned although the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking. After sampling various boulangeries, the exalted Stohrer did turn out to be our favorite for croissants and other delicacies.
It was easy to walk to many museums and visit other nearby neighborhoods. The subway and taxis were easily accessible.
The free wi-fi and telephone were an added bonus. It enabled us to keep in touch with our aged family members. Everything in the apartment was in good working order.
In short, the apartment was just as advertised and even better. Vip provided us with excellent service, especially when our trip had to be rescheduled due to the april eruption of the volcano in Iceland.

This apartment lived up to all expectations, we loved the bustling neighbourhood and feeling a part of local life. Everything was close by, restaurants, cafe's, supermarkets, and such a close walk to all the attractions. The apartment was clean and tidy and suprisingly more spacious than we expected. The detailed instructions we received from Vacation in Paris helped us be considerate guests and explained how everything worked. I particularly liked having the keys before we left home, it gave us confidence that we could just let ourselves straight in without waiting for anyone or hoping that they would show on the right date. The free bottle of wine helped us feel right at home too. One of the best things about the apartment was that there were free calls and internet.
There is nothing worse when you are tired having to go out and source these things, or worse being charged a fortune in the hotel. As we were still trying to operate our business while we were away it was a godsend.
I particularly enjoyed being on the first floor and having those huge Parisian windows. When the kids where in bed we weren't left out - we could stand at the window with our wines and feel almost a part of Paris. If one of the best sports of travelling is people watching, then Paris is an Olympic event - lol.
All in all we had a wonderful experience with booking and staying at this apartment, it was child friendly and went a long way to making our time in Paris the highlight of our time away.

The entire experience was just wonderful--from the initial contact
with Vacation in Paris to staying in the apartment for a week. The key
to the apartment came very much in time before our departure and
after our visit the deposit was promptly returned. The apartment looks
exactly like the pictures and the description is very accurate. It is easy
to get to and the location is fabulous. We walked everywhere although
the metro is just right around the corner. We did take the metro back
to the airport to head to Barcelona.
Evenings were divine with strolling musicians serenading the patrons
at the restaurants below the apartment and the music wafting in the
windows. Ah, brings back memories.
We (husband, son and I) were very pleased with the accommodations
and will definitely try to go back there soon.

This is the third Paris apartment I have rented through VIP and the second in this neighbourhood, which I love. Its heart, Rue Montorgueil, is a wonderful pedestrian market street, filled with food stores of every description, bars, cafes and restaurants. In a quiet little side-street, the apartment is within easy walking distance of a good number of Paris highlights such as the Louvre, the Centre Pompidou and Notre Dame.
Of course, there are a couple of Metro stations nearby and a convenient Velib station around the corner.
The apartment is comfortable and well-appointed except for the kitchen. Like many short-term rental places, the owners make the false assumption that visitors will not want to cook for themselves. Very inadequate utensils for cooking and serving all those fabulous ingredients available 2 minutes away!!....and there were NO CHAMPAGNE FLUTES!! In Paris???
My only other gripe is that the window coverings are inadequate to block out the light from a street-lamp which is right outside. Might not bother some, but it drove me crazy.
In all other respects, the apartment is great and VIP is easy to deal with. I recommended this place to a female friend who stayed recently and she loved it.

From the initial contact with the office in Newton, NJ to the very last contact when we received the return of our security deposit, the experience was friendly as well as timely and efficient.
The apartment was as presented and suited all of our needs. It is clean, bright and in a wonderful location. It is located in the heart of the popular Montorgueil shopping area which provides opportunity to experience Parisian cafes, fish markets, cheese shops, flower shops, etc. The newly installed windows provide a noise barrier from the activity in the street below. We, however, enjoyed the feeling of being part of the action and had the windows open whenever we were in the apartment. Our only suggestion to management was to provide new pillows since the current pillows are rather "flat".
The metro is within easy walking distance and we found it possible to walk to the Louvre with a stop along the way for a ride on the local carousel (we had our two-year old grandson with us).
All in all, we would be happy to stay in the same apartment on our next visit to Paris.

Fabulously Located with 5 minutes walk to 2 Metro stations, surrounded by great restaurants, bistros and cafes...a wonderful base for Le Tour Paris.
Amenities great and just the right size for a family of four....any more would be a bit squeezy!
We felt very safe strolling the immediate area at night and found it easy to get to everywhere we wanted to visit.
Our only complaint was the standard of the linen supplied but hopefully this has improved since. The apartment was clean and in a very quiet building and area so we slept very well.
Would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Paris
