We all enjoyed the open kitchen/living room/dining room space -
Kitchen upgrades made cooking there a nice experience -
I read a review before we went that stated that the unit was dirty - I think part of this is due to the dark wood used throughout the unit (floors/cabinets) - it shows every imperfection/bits of lint, dust, hair & dirt -
The housekeeping service was a plus - however, if you are at all scent-sensitive, be very clear ahead of time that they not use Febreeze - It bothered everyone in our party (6 of us), and we had to open the place up in the snowy coldness to air it out - (as an aside, check out "chemicals in Febreze" or "chemical sensitivity Febreze" - that stuff is nasty)
Loved the jetted tubs - wish I had read the instructions to flip the breaker before getting in...
Thought the use of eco soap in the shower was cool (soap with a hole in the middle to waste less)
Proximity to Deer Valley slopes was excellent -
To be nit picky - I think the two side chairs in the living room would be much more comfortable if they had arms... the ones that are there look cool, but after a day of skiing, it's nice to melt into a comfy sofa or chair for a show, but these aren't melt-friendly.
Lastly, the boot drying blower wasn't really working
So yes, it was a good place - comfortable beds - enjoyable space :) I recommend it.
Thank you very much for your review. We appreciate our guests taking time to let us know how we can improve upon our services. As you noted, this property does have very dark wood which tends to show even the slightest amount of dust. We feel our housekeeping department does a great job with cleaning our properties and want to add that there is a big difference between "dirty" and "dusty"! Also, we don't purchase products like Febreze and are a little baffled by what might have been used. Regardless, we will remind our staff NOT to use anything that leaves a clingy odor! This property was intentionally equipped with a boot/glove dryer that blows ambient (i.e., non-heated) air so as not to damage the interior of your ski boots and clothing. We would like guests to know that Deer Valley Resort provides complimentary shuttles to the day lodge for anyone staying in the resort area.
Again, we appreciate your comments and look forward to assisting you with your future lodging needs.

“beautiful but dirty”

Rented this property for July 4 weekend. It was spacious, comfortable and well appointed, but very dirty upon arrival. I would have cleaned myself, but there were no cleaning supplies available at the unit.
Park City Lodging, Inc. would like to thank you for your review and for discussing your stay with our housekeeping manager. We sincerely apologize that you found the property was dusty upon your arrival. We truly do our best to make sure every property is in pristine condition when a guest arrives and we pride ourselves on providing clean, comfortable accommodations. Needless to say, we were dismayed to learn that this was not the case for you. Our housekeeping manager has personally inspected this property for quality control and will continue to do so for future arrivals.
Again, we appreciate hearing from you and do hope that you will come back and stay with us again. We assure you that you will find Lakeside 1629 in excellent condition for your next stay.

“Really Nice Place”
Left on 03/10/2010 for a stay in March 2010 | Sometimes SkiersReviewed Mar 10, 2010Stayed Mar 2010
Very spacious, clean, well appointed--lacked for nothing that we needed nor would want during our 4 day stay. Nice departure from the standard rustic wood decor. Very close to mountain--easy walking distance altho shuttle makes it easier if you're in snow boots.
Bathroom layout is somewhat clumsy--sinks are pretty but not practical for toiletries, etc. But just a small annoyance. We would definitely recommend this unit and would stay here again.
Thank you for reviewing your stay at Lakeside 1629. We are pleased that you enjoyed the accommodations overall. Guest reviews provide the opportunity for Park City Lodging and our owners to make improvements in the properties we represent. After reading your comments, the owners added new shelving in the bathrooms for the storage of personal items as well as USB charging outlets have been added in the kitchen, as well as in multiple locations in both lower ground master suites (by the dresser and both nightstands in each of the 2 master suites).
We do hope to see you in the very near future!

“Our awesome vacation”
Left on 04/16/2009 for a stay in March 2009 | BermudiansReviewed Apr 16, 2009Stayed Mar 2009
We had an excellent vacation in Utah - only our 2nd time skiing. The condo was ideal for is as we skied at Deer Valley most of the times. We rented a car, so were able to ski at Canyons and also ice skate and go tubing without too long of a drive.
The house was great. We were a little worried initially because we were bringing four children, and it looked newly rennovated and quite posh. BUT it was perfect.
The housekeeping service that you provided as amazing. Just like staying in a hotel with clean towels and a wipe over everyday. The staff were wonderful.
We had a few teething problems but your company was quick to respond and rectify any problems.
The only downside was that the public hot tub and pool were not hot enough, especially the hot tub. But being from Bermuda it's no wonder we were cold.
Thanks very much for making our vacation a memorable one. We will be back!!!
