Q. How long does it take to get from the airport to the resort?
A. The airport is located approximately 30 miles from the resort. The ride from the airport to the resort should take approximately 50 minutes.
Q. Is there a shuttle from the resort to the airport?
A. The resort does provide shuttle service to and from the airport for a small fee. Advanced notice with the resort’s concierge desk is required. You can also hail a taxi at the airport for approximately $100 per trip.
Q. Do I need a car?
A. It totally depends of your vacation plans. It is certainly a good idea to have a car if you plan on exploring the island, however, you can easily get by without one, if you plan on remaining in the vicinity of the resort. The Westin offers complimentary shuttle that services a 2.5 miles radius around the resort, including sister resorts, shopping, golfing, and more. Taxis are readily available if desired.
Q. What does it cost to park at the resort?
A. It costs $9 per day to park a car at the resort.
Q. What days do the timeshares start renting on?
A. These timeshares rent from Friday to Friday, Saturday to Saturday, or Sunday to Sunday.
Q. What is the process for booking?
1. Let us know the resort you are interesting in staying at, the amount of people you will be traveling with, and your desired dates.
2. Review the lodging options that we will email to you and let us know which one you are interesting in booking.
3. We will contact the owners to make sure the unit is still available at the specified rate.
4. Assuming it is available, we will electronically send you and the owner the respective contracts. Once the contracts are signed, you will receive the resort confirmation number for your unit, with your name on the reservation.
5. You will have the option to pay via credit card, check, or PayPal.
Q. Do all the units have the same décor?
A. All of the units are managed and maintained by the Marriott. All of the units at the Ocean Resort do have the same décor and should all be in similar condition.
Q. What is the sleeping configuration like?
A. There is a king-size bed in each of the two bedrooms and a queen-size pull out sofa bed in each of the two living room areas.
Q. Does this unit have a full kitchen?
A. Yes, these units do have full kitchens. There include a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven, cookware, silverware, dishes and glasses.
Q. What are the additional fees and taxes?
A. Hawaii’s lodging tax is to be paid to the resort upon check in. The tax will not exceed $14 per day. There are no additional fees or taxes to be paid for the unit.
Q. Is internet complimentary?
A. Yes, there is complimentary internet in all of the villas at the resort. Wired internet is available at the business center for a fee.
Q. Where is the unit located?
A. All of the timeshare units at the Ocean Resort are assigned at check in, so you will not know exactly where the unit is located at the Ocean Resort until you arrive.
Q. Is this unit close to the beach?
The resort is located right on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There is a swimmable beach at the Westin’s sister resort, the St. Regis- about a five minute drive from the Westin. This St. Regis can be accessed by the Westin’s free local shuttle.
Q. Is a specific view guaranteed for this timeshare?
A. Yes. Specific views are guaranteed for timeshares at this resort.
Q. Are meal plans available?
A. The Ocean Resort does not offer meal plans. The resort does have numerous restaurants on premises and there are many more eateries in the surrounding area.

A. Yes, cribs are available with request at the front desk for all villas, except the studio units.
