Amazing amber Valley Views

Left on Jul 14, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Cliffside - when we booked we didn't realise how great the accommodation would be because the price was so cheap. The views were just gorgeous (see pics attached), we could see right over the hills of the amber Valley and it was really peaceful and quiet. The room was massive, very spacious and it had everything you could possibly need. Phil, the owner, …

The cottage is set way back from the busy A6, nestled away in the hillside overlooking the Derwent and High Tor cliffs. Our poor little Smart Car struggled to get up the windy steep drive, and the ascent up the stairs tests your fitness, but believe me- it's well worth it for this absolute gem of a place. The garden on the second floor was just right for sitting outside enjoying the evening, and we ate out there most of the time. Perfect home from home.

Left on May 20, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed in Button Cottage for 1 week, it was the perfect base for us and a joy to come "home" to a wonderful log fire after visiting local places of interest each day. Sadly the weather did not allow for us to sit outside but the bijou garden would be a lovely spot to while away an hour or two with a good book if the sun was shining.

Left on Jun 16, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Bramwell cottage was a small but perfectly formed cottage, great for a weekend away for me and my boyfriend. The view from the terrace was superb and being in the countryside, lots of nice walks on the doorstep. We ventured into the village, and the pub were good, great Saturday night atmosphere. Although the chap behind the counter in the newsagents could brush up on his P&Qs!! The weather was …

Left on May 28, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

My husband and I and two young boys have just spent three nights at Old Bakery Cottage and cannot compliment it enough. The owner has been very accommodating (answering all of our queries and allowing us to book out late if needed). The cottage, despite being immaculate, was so homely.
