Lemon and Ginger Vacation Rental is a centrally located one bedroom apartment in Pembroke, Bermuda. Visit Bermuda and live like the locals do in a safe, family-like neighborhood. Located on the north side of Bermuda amongst two spectacular parks, with caves that you can explore right at your finger tips. Attractions and experiences are just a hop, skip or a splash away.

The Space

The unit is modern, clean and spacious, very homey and safe.

Guest Access

This is a one bedroom unit so you'll have the whole unit to yourself! To accommodate the two additional guest, we will provide a queen size air mattress that sits as high up as a regular bed.

The Neighborhood

We live in a family friendly neighborhood! We all know each other and look out for each other on a daily basis. We enjoy our outdoor spaces and take pride in our property. Once you visit our neighbourhood you'll want to return again and again.

Your Spanish Point vacation rental is a 5 minute walk to the closet beach and public transportation. The City of Hamilton is a 8 minute bus ride or a 35 minute brisk walk.

Be sure to keep these 2019 Public Holiday dates in mind. They're a great way to get a good feel for our culture too and because you have the opportunity to hang with the locals, you'll have the time of your life and create memories for a lifetime!

April 19 - Good Friday. During this time of year, you'll find the locals kite flying on various beaches island wide and complimenting the occasion with codfish cakes and hot cross buns, a must try!

May 24 - Bermuda Day. The day starts with a half marathon ( that your welcome to register for) and then a parade. Some enjoy the day on the water as well.

June 17 - National Heroes Day. This is the time of year that we honor a Bermudian who has made a significant and lasting contribution to our Country. This holiday incorporates a Soca Weekend that cateres to the whole island and is enjoyed by all! If you enjoy soca, Bermuda is the place to be June 22 - 25, 2018

August 1 & 2 - Emancipation Day & Somers Day aka Cup Match. This is the one of the most popular holidays of the year. This time of year we.hang. loose!

The east and west end of the island comes together to have a two day cricket match. Now if you book to come this time of year, you have to pick a team, Somerset or St. George's. In order to get more information, please confirm that you promise to root for Somerset....the best team! The joy this holiday brings right in the midst of summer will not be easily forgotten and it's the only time you'll have a chance to play crown and anchor out in public! Exhilarating to say the least, Bermuda culture at its best!

September 2 - Labour Day. This holiday tends to be a bit quiet with many locals enjoying the last long weekend at the beach. An annual parade is held with the different trade unions.

November 11 - Remembrance Day.

December 25 & 26 - Christmas and Boxing Day. Feel free to come and celebrate this wonderful holiday here in Bermuda, more times than not, under very sunny skies! You may even find a local taking a dip in the water at the beach and you may be brave enough to do the same! Sometimes, it's just that nice out!

Getting Around

While in Bermuda, you can get around by bus, a moped, a ferry boat, taxi or private car and now a twizzy!

While visiting our neighborhood, if you wish to travel by bus, you will need to use the #4 Spanish Point bus route.

If you're adventurous we will direct you to one of our many moped rental shops. Be careful with these mopeds though cause we drive on the left hand side of the road!

If you are after a truly picturesque experience, The ferry boat can take you from Hamilton to Dockyard and down to St. George's.

However, if you prefer not to worry about time schedules and prefer a private taxi, let us know and we will make the arrangements for you, leave it to us! Another option is to download the Hitch Bermuda app and get the taxi that's closest.

Other Things to Note

Once you arrive on the island, you will need transportation from the airport and a taxi will be there to be sure you get a real Bermuda greeting.

Getting around

While in Bermuda, you can get around by bus, a moped, a ferry boat, taxi or private car. We live right on the property so we'll be able to assist you with all your vacation needs. We want to help make this the best vacation and Bermuda experience you'll ever have. We can bring together a total package for you that includes adventure, exploring, eating local cuisine and of course no trip is complete without a shopping experience. However, if you prefer the peace and quietness of being by yourself that comes naturally and we are very close by if you need any assistance at all.

Response from the owner Hi Cindy and thanks for such a great detailed review, very much appreciated. Let me first say that island living is a lot different from a City, I always say that we just don't have enough land mass to provide sidewalks island wide. It does take a bit of getting used to and can seem like a harrowing experience walking directly on the street, especially when a large vehicle like a bus feels like it's heading straight for you:). Overall, it's very safe and most drivers are courteous. I'm also very happy to hear that you enjoyed the Spanish Point neighborhood. We love sharing it with guest as all of our neighbors help make the experience memorable. Everyone that visit enjoys chatting with Stevie who enjoys crafting his staffs while enlightening our guest with Bermuda history and Papa Charles who is also a neighborhood favorite. Then we have Cal who starts the vacation for our guest prior to them arriving on island by securing transportation to the unit. Most of the guest from LnG use her service and they're able to stop at the grocery store, which they find to be very helpful. Given groceries are very expensive here, we do have a pay it forward plan, which most of the incoming guest find very helpful. Cindy, we also have to apologize for the shortfall of Scot towel and toilet paper as we certainly do provide these items in abundance. I've noted this for our cleaning staff so thanks for mentioning. Otherwise, I'm always happy to hear that our guest enjoy Admiralty House. It's even more exciting to hear that in the end up they end up cliff jumping!! Whoo hoo, mission accomplished!! We certainly hope we have the pleasure of hosting you again, please don't hesitate to contact us.

How do damage deposits work?
