“Just Brilliant!!” If your looking for a nice quiet well appointed apartment in the town of Rye you would have great difficulty in getting any better than 16 The Boathouse. The place was spotless with good facilities and a nice bottle of wine and 2 bottles of lager to welcome us. If there was any downside it would be the decrepid yacht hulks moored in the river outside of the window but this did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our stay. The contact arrangements and key collection was ver easy with no problems at all.

“No words can some up this little gem of a cottage!!” I do not even know where to start!! From the first enquiry until after we had left, the owner Jaqueline could not have assisted us anymore; from fielding general enquiries about the cottage to tailoring recommendations on places to eat/drink/dance etc based on the information I had given her about our group!! Upon finding the cottage literally in the middle of everything (perfect location, set back from main streets but literally next to everything you could want/need!!) we opened the door with anticipation... Well, the looking glass cottage definately lived up to the pictures and then some!! It's the attention to detail that gave it a real feel of luxury!! And I shall never ever forget the teapot tap!!! No expense has been spared in making this the most quirky, luxurious accomoadtion I have encountered! Teacup lights, cutlery cupboard handles, amazing wallpapers, the list goes on!! We were a group of 8 and there was more than enough room for everyone, the living room fitted us all in with ease for takeaway and pre-drinks before hitting the town, although I should add the takeaway was purely because we were being lazy, there is everything you would need to make dinner in should you choose to! Everyone loved there rooms and congratulated me on finding such a place!!! I totally loved this place and will deffo go back whether I have to organise another hen do, girls trip away or with the husband and a couple of friends, I will deffo be back there at some point!!!

Perfect penthouse apartment with sensational sea views in the centre of the city

James the owner and host could not have been more welcoming and helpful when I arrived at his beautiful penthouse apartment - an oasis of calm in the throbbing heart of the city. Two great bedrooms, two great bathrooms, (one ensuite), superbly equipped kitchen and stunning living room with a wall of glass, leading out onto two amazing terraces. The more than 180 degree views are simply breathtaking!! During my stay, I sat on both of the terraces (depending on the time of day) and in the living room, glass of wine in hand, looking out over the roof tops to the sea for hours. A truly magnificent way to relax and unwind. Really enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen - good variety of food stores near by. This little cottage is tucked away in a country lane with lovely downland views and open countryside all around. Robin and Christine have a real managery in the garden full of all sorts of feathered fowl including peacocks that perch and preen on the balcony outside the lounge. The cottage itself is very well appointed with everything you need for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. There are many interesting places to visit which are all within reasonable driving distance. The county town of Lewes is close by and Brighton, Arundel and Chichester are also at a reasonable driving distance. Robin and Christine are great hosts and fun to chat with. Peaceful, comfortable with amazing sea views!!!

We had a brief but lovely stay at The Promenade during the half term school holidays. This was the perfect location for us to travel into Brighton, to meet up with family in Bexhill-on-Sea and to relax in the evenings. The house had everything we needed and our host (Geraldine) was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our stay went very quickly, but we enjoyed sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine taking in the beautiful sea views. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a peaceful location close to Brighton, overlooking the sea. There are also lovely walks along the cliff tops or along the promenade itself.
