“Brilliant for a family stay” The cottage had a very well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms were comfortable, excellent ground floor shower room and large first floor bathroom. The sofas and rug in the lounge are getting near there 'sell by date'. The cottage is an ideal location for exploring everything the Lake District has to offer, would recommend visiting the grizedale forest. The farmers arms inn, which is directly facing the cottage, provides welcoming staff and good food. We had a slight problem with the key box, and could not retrieve the keys and were unable to phone the rental agency as there was no mobile phone connection. Fortunately the farmers arms let us use their phone and the problem was sorted by the letting agents very quickly.

Nice cottage, good location and good value.

Puddle duck was a lovely cottage, plenty of room and plenty warm enough with the fire lit. Great area to visit and not somewhere we had been before. Cosy and welcoming with amazing views

We stayed here at Christmas and were made to feel very welcome with wine, christmas treats and a card. Curlew cottage itself is lovely. It is clean, cosy, comfortable and roomy enough for a family.
