“Beautiful and Relaxing - time means nothing here!” We spent two glorious weeks last summer at Pinellis Villa in Ghavathas. Everyone on Lesbos is very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The Villa is modern and comfortable with old country charm. It has a breathtaking view of aegean Sea and the mountains covered olive trees. The soft sandy beach is only minutes away. Time means nothing here to the local people. The ancient village of antissa only 15 minutes away will take you back in time. It has a traditional bakery, butcher, grocery stores, restaurant and cafe (best coffee on the island). We took many road trips. Kaloni has many shops and the best place to buy clothes. Skala Eresou also has a lovely beach, beach shops, wine store and restaurants. Best pizza on the island is in Petra (only one pizzeria there so you can't miss it). The view from Molyvos is also breathtaking with many shops and restaurants there as well. Make sure you stop in at the castle, beach and hot baths while you are there. Do not miss the historical sites, churches, museums, castles, therapeutic hot baths and ruins on this Island before you leave they are not all in athens. Pithari Monastery and Perivolis Monastery are close to the Villa. On the way to Dhionisos Temple on the other side of the Island there is the well and according to myth where infant achilles had been dipped in water by his mother holding onto him by his heel. We also discovered really nice hot baths in Polichnitos! I could go on and on. I promise you will enjoy the Villa, Island and people. You will take very fond memories back home with you.
