Description
Villa Sofia is near the quiet village of Peyia, Paphos & is 5 mins drive to the golden sandy beach of Coral Bay. The villa is a picture postcard property with a front & rear garden with a 8x4m private pool. The Villa has a long private driveway/ carport which can accommodate 3 cars and has a side entrance leading to the main downstairs en-suite (walk in shower) bedroom to assist the less abled / disabled persons. Other two large bedrooms are upstairs with one of the bedrooms having a big 10x3m balcony with some sea and expansive mountain views. There is a large bathroom/shower upstairs and a guest toilet downstairs. Villa is close to the local Peyia village with all the shops, restaurants, supermarket and banks 15 mins walking distance and Coral Bay is a 5 minutes drive has more restaurants, bars and nightlife. The villa is set in a private closed off road away from the hustle & bustle of the tourist areas so there will be no noise intrusions. The airport is a short 30 mins drive and there are numerous tourist attractions like the Harbour front mooring expensive cruise ships, yachts and a Roman castle harbouring mosiac paintings etc, fish restaurants and Paphos town centre with all the night life only a 15 mins drive from the villa. There is the 'Troodos' mountains with pine trees and the snow covered peaks of Mount Olympus approx 1.5 hour drive. Finally there is the famous 'Aphrodite' Bay & rock only 30 mins drive. There is a water park and scuba diving nearby. We can organise your own private driver and guide on request where everything will be catered for. Car rental advisable.Villa Sofia is coming onto the short term rental market from April 2024 again. For the past 7 years the house is occupied with long term tenants.

NEW for 2024 bookings: (1) we can provide a chauffeur car service at extra cost with a driver to take you ANYWHERE in the Greek part of Cyprus. This will save some customers from the added hassle of hiring a car, paying for petrol, driving, finding places to travel, ordering a minicab, provide a safe transport back to the villa from a night out after drinking etc. You will be allocated the same driver throughout your stay. This service will give holiday makers added peace of mind knowing that all travel situations will be stress free. An all inclusive package price can be provided for on request. We believe that we are the only villa owners in Paphos and the surrounding areas that can provide this service. (2) We can provide a professional photographer to take wedding/other photos at a much reduced price. As a guide - wedding photographers charge approx €70 per hour in Paphos but we can do a similar job for €30 per hour. We will also provide a Welcome pack on arrival consisting of all the essential items like bread, butter, cheese, ham, milk, bottle mineral water and two bottles of wine on arrival - one white and one red. Many villa owners will not go to these lengths to provide such service but we would like to provide the ultimate/best, 5 star service available to our guests coming to Paphos at the best possible prices.

Response from the owner Regarding the sunbeds/loungers I am very upset that after supplying 2 brand new sunbeds (apparently 2 or which broke) at a cost of €230 the very next day these tenants referred to them as being 'useable' inferring these were second hand! (2) I got the inventory report back from my agent who confirmed that prior to these tenants arriving at the villa that there were 14 mugs of which only 4 were slightly chipped (which none of the previous tenants complained about) and 10 glasses. How many mugs and glasses do 2 people need? (3) Similarly there were 40 towels in the villa of which 8 or 9 were also slightly stained so there was 30 new towels in the villa all of these were clean. (4) regarding the steps in the swimming pool my agent and pool maintenance person thoroughly checked the steps and did not find any of the steps jutting edges protruding into the water. The bottom step was broken but this was removed prior to these tenants moving in. However the step has been replaced. (5) The blue oval sunbed should have been removed so not quite sure why my agent did not do so but the tenants were told that the cover on temporarily. It has now been removed. (6) regarding the solar panels no other tenants complained about the noise so slightly baffled about this query. In conclusion: I am a caring landlord that cares for my tenants and just occasionally things go wrong but I try to rectify things quickly. I only own 1 villa and I feel the comments left by this particular renter is somewhat misleading especially when other renters left a 4 & 5 star reviews. Mr Basu (owner.)

Our previous cleaning company which we contracted the work out to left Cyprus and returned back to the UK so I used another cleaning company and unfortunately it appeared on this occasion they did not quite clean the bathroom and the walls/ceiling of some cobwebs. So I am using another company so hopefully 3rd time lucky! I am striving for perfection so your comments have been noted and improvements already made.
