Response from the owner Wow, Talk about a surprise review! I really wish you would have told us of your concerns during your stay. We always ask that people who self check in, to PLEASE TELL US so we can address any problems right away. The first time we heard from you was when the Barbque would not work. Why did we not hear about anything else your whole stay? We would have had our cleaning crew come out and re-clean our home to your satisfication, that is what they are for. My big disapointment is that now it seems your stay with us was unhappy and it did not have to be, if we had known about these things. All I can do is offer my apologies, explain a few things and hope that this review will encourage guests to please communicate with us about any challenges while at our home so we can remedy them swiftly as we always do witnessed by our other reviewers. 1. We had a special rate for open dates we had, and I explained that I included the tax with their rate and it would actually be higher for anyone else renting as I would not be including the tax for other renters in that time frame. 2. We do have check in and check out times that are agreed to and do not vary for the safety and security of our guests and cleaning crew. 3. I do not know what "hype" our home has received that it needs to live up to? I can say that it is in excellent condition and maintained professionally We also have a scheduled deep cleaning every 2 months in low season and every month in high/peak. 4. We have a plush top king bed in the main master bedroom, a temper-pedic king in the master bedroom with the balcony and a brand new Four Seasons king in the master suite on the ground floor. The twins have mattress pads and the queen is a plush top, none have any stains. 5. Our kitchen is well stocked and has a pitcher, salt and pepper and more. 6. All the closet doors are a solid 150 lbs each and can be a little hard to move at times. 7. The patio slider is locked off for the safety of children and for optimum energy. 8. We have 2 new air conditoners in June 2011 and 76-78 degrees downstairs and 72-74 upstairs for sleeping is very icy when it is over 112 outside. 9. I told them that we could have someone fix the Barbque, but they fixed it themselves. Most of our guests prefer not to be bothered, but I can come on Saturdays to clean the pool if you would like to see me.
