L'arbre Magnolia is a restful retreat from the everyday, offering a well equipped and tastefully decorated gite in a 18th Century building. Completely renovated to an exceedingly high standard, the gites have spacious rooms, and plenty of modern amenities to enhance your stay, with everything you would expect to find in your own home. L'arbre Magnolia is furnished in a relaxed style, with the interior of a modern decoration and has 2 floors.
The ground floor has a well equipped kitchen, with fitted units, granite worktops, a fitted refrigerator, oven, hob, dishwasher and toaster. The dining area has an attractive solid oak table with eight chairs. Leading off the hall is a twin room with fitted wardrobe and views of the garden. Opposite this room there is a WC with wash basin and fitted shower.
A wooden spiral staircase leads upstairs to a comfortably furnished living room, with log burning fire and traditional oak beam features. There is satellite TV (English channels) and a DVD player. One of the settees converts into a double bed. This level also houses two more large bedrooms. One has twin beds and the other is a spacious master bedroom with large en-suite. From the master bedroom patio doors open out on to a balcony for outside dining with table, chairs overlooking the countryside.
Our child friendly gites are ideal for families, with facilities onsite to amuse children of all ages, including ping pong and a pool table - we provide toys/games, and books from the library. There is so much land for children to run around freely and everyone to find their own private space to relax and unwind.
The pool is situated to the rear of the buildings in a secluded private sun trap, with a lovely open aspect and views of the local wooded area. The pool has easy access by steps, with loungers and parasols for your comfort.
The rear enclosed garden, shared by both gites, has a large brick chimney barbecue where you can enjoy outdoor dining at the table and chairs provided.
There is a family run restaurant within walking distance. Piegut Pluviers is a 5 minute drive from Rebeyrat and has a supermarket with petrol/diesel, local shops, banks, restaurants, bars, post office, doctor's surgery, and a pharmacy. Piegut which has a bustling market, not to be missed, selling local produce, crafts, etc is held on a Wednesday morning. A heaven for food enthusiasts. At Saint-Estephe it is good for the children where there is a beautiful man-made beaches that are less than 10 minutes away. The extensive facilities, which include a children's play area, free canoeing for 30 minutes, fishing, beach volley ball, and French boules. There are lifeguards in the height of the season. The lake and seating areas are well maintained. There is a walking and cycling path round the lakes. There is a well priced snack bar. At the great lakes in Vidiex canoes, catamarans, kayaks, sail-boards and Optimist Class sailing dinghies are all available to rent There is free ample parking.
On Tuesday evenings in the summer there is a local producers night market where you can buy fresh produce and have it BBQ'd. and enjoy the night while listening to the band, loved by our guests. This is a truly great French experience.

Rebeyrat is perfectly situated to explore the heritage of the region, with its medieval villages and cities. Perigueux (Cathedrale St Front), Nontron, Chateaux (Puyguilhelm, Bourdeilles), prehistoric caves (Grottes de Villars), weekly markets, Limoges is famous for its porcelain, and near here is the ruined village of Oradour, a stark reminder of the tragedies of World War 2. Why not pay a visit to the Gallo-Roman site of Chassenon. For an energetic family fun day out, you must go to the Adventure Park, where you can swing from trees, walk rope ladders, absail amongst other thrilling activities set in a natural area.
