We arrived on Thanksgiving evening 2013 there was dead lady bugs every where, and the broom was broke so I could not sweep them up easily the fireplace would not light and was not able to get ahold of anyone due to it being a holiday, the next day we left early and when we returned the cabin was so hot the thermostat was stuck on the furnace and I did call and got ahold of someone at time they advised me they would send someone up immediately, 2 HRS later I called again finally someone came and he was very nice he advised me that he would have to send someone the next day I told him that I had a severe asthmatic child with me and that was unacceptable and I could not continue to keep opening the doors to keep it cool enough for her and the temp changes was not good on her or the other children he did get ahold of a Hvac person to change out thermostat. By then we lost an entire evening waiting on someone to come and fix the furnace. The drive way was so steep that if it had rained or snow we would had problems getting out of there if it was even possible to get out. other than that the cabin was ok but not what I had expected .

The house and views were great. We had a wonderful vacation. I'm not gonna lie, the driveway is steep and scared me to death. By the end of the stay I was more use to it but its steep. The house is nice. There are stuffed animals everywhere, which is cute, however, they need to be dusted. The service is excellent!!!

The cabin is absolutely wonderful (though they aren't kidding with the recommendation of a four-wheel drive vehicle, the driveway is seriously steep). We hiked, played pool, cards, watched movies, ate, hot-tubbed the weekend away! To make it even better, we did this at half-price! Thank you so very much for a truly Heavenly time!

We really enjoyed the cabin; it is conveniently located, secluded, clean, wonderfully decorated and comfortable. Only 3 relatively minor caveats to be aware of in advance: (1) the driveway is very steep--I personally would not want to drive it in winter or with a trailer; (2) the water is stinky; (3) there are critters up in the rafters at night--my son and I are light sleepers so it bothered us but my husband had no problem.

We loved out stay at this beautiful cabin. Loved the bear theme. Everyting was clean. Having the washer and dryer was great. Kitchen was fully stocked with all things needed to cook any type of meal. Driveway was very steep, but we have an SUV that helped alot. We did hear a little critter in the rafters! The only draw back was the water, it smelled really bad. If it wasn't for that, it would have been a totally fantastic stay.
“Wonderful. Our family had a great time. Wish we could afford t”

First time my family had gone away for Christmas. It was very nice. We have a new grandson, and it was great having all our family together for a short few days.
The cabin was charming, had everything we needed and more.

Our family of 4 adults (aged 23, 27, mom and dad) visited Heavenly Bear over Thanksgiving weekend. Checking into the cabin was extremely easy and well organized. Upon arrival, we were happy we were in an SUV to tackle the steep driveway. The cabin has all necessary amenities with the added luxury of a fun firepit area outside and quick access to a nice walking trail. The location of the cabin, once down the mountain, is a great central location between Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg. The decor in the cabin is tasteful and welcoming. A bit more sofa seating would have allowed for us to relax all together. The upstairs serves as a good game space. We weren't lucky enough to spot any bears, but we did have a few raccoon friends peek in the window! We would recommend the cabin to friends and would consider visiting again if we were to return to Gatlinburg.

The cabin was great the only thing that I didnt like was the driveway. If there is any snow ice or slick at all it is nearly impossible to get up the driveway, and it is quite a hike. Great cabin for spring, summer, and fall.
