Being in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains your choices for adventure are boundless. Pack up a picnic lunch and head to Chimneys Tops Picnic Area to wade in the river or trout fish then after lunch strike out on the Cove Hardwood Nature Trail, a self-guided loop trail and a great place to see wildflowers. For a more strenuous hike start your day early and venture out on the Chimney Tops trail, a short but steep trail but don’t let that detour you, the views are some of the finest the Smokies have to offer.
