PRIVATE STRUCTURE. Villa Fontealloro is sited on a small hill not far from Crespina on the gentle Tuscan hills, surrounded by woods, olive groves and fields of grain. The villa is formed by a large farmhouse that the present owners have restructured and renovated using quality material from the area. The antique furniture and the designer accessories are in perfect harmony with the terracotta floors and beamed and raftered ceilings. The ground floor is characterized by large windows and French windows which let natural light in, creating a warm familiar atmosphere. The property is surrounded by terraced land covered by a green lawn. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed in total relaxation from the porch. Villa Fontealloro is not far from the airports of Pisa and Florence. Its location permits guests to visit many tourist attractions such as Pisa, Florence, Volterra, Lucca, Siena, all just few hours drive away. There is also the possibility, during the summer, of spending pleasant days on the beaches of nearby Versilia.
The villa consists of two floors and opens, on the ground floor, on to a large entrance hall and luminous living room with access to the dining room with sitting area and the kitchen. The kitchen has an electric induction cooktop. On this floor is a bathroom with shower and a laundry room. The fully equipped outside area is fenced in and covers an area of circa 5000 sq m, most of which is covered by a colourful lawn with various ornamental plants and a large variety of aromatic plants, while the entry to the property is flanked by characteristic cypress trees. The garden has been made more comfortable and welcoming thanks to the presence of structures where guests can sit and relax. Near the house is a small barn which remains closed.
The pool distans a few meters from the property and is reachable via a staircase with safety gate. Crespina is in the heart of Tuscany. In a few hours you can visit Pisa, Lucca, Florence or walk in the footsteps of the Etruscans in Volterra, wander along the little towered streets of San Gimignano or go to the wild cliffs of Castiglioncello or the immense beaches of fashionable Versilia and the Cinque Terre (105 km) but we suggest you to take the train because of the parking space at destination. Crespina is slightly hidden, away from the chaos and noise of the traffic yet it is not difficult to get there. It is just 80 km from Florence, 35 km from Pisa, 35 km from Livorno, 60 km from Lucca and 60 km from Viareggio. Vinci, the place where Leonardo is borned, distances only 50 km and there is the beautiful museum to be visited. Monteriggioni (even mentioned in the Divine Comedy), is a nice old town with its medieval castle that needs to be visited, distances about 90 km. Crespina can be reached by car from the motorway A12 at the exit of Collesalvetti.
