Surrounded by breathtaking views and a vast quantity of private land and woods, Villa Tina is perched on an exclusive hillside overlooking DOCG Chianti plantations and the city of Pistoia. This lovely villa is located in the Tuscan region where the highest quality of olive oil is produced. The Villa itself has a number of fruit and olive plants.
It's the perfect location for weddings, honeymoons, relaxing vacations with family and friends as well as for those seeking culture, history and sporting activities.
Built in the 1950's under our grandfather's supervision, this grand three storey concrete and stone structure has been designed by a Swiss architect which combined the features of typical Tuscan family homes with Swiss features such as quality (...) and vertical roofs. It was named after our grandmother Tina, and has been the family's holiday and gathering villa for years.
The villa was designed to host my grandparents as well as a guest family, all with privacy and comforts. In fact you will find that all three floors have the features of an independent apartment - and we can therefore rent the villa as a whole, or each floor independently.
It boosts a total of 2 to 8 bedrooms (sleeping 4 to 12) a kitchen, dining room and 1-2 bathrooms on each floor. The massive living room on the middle floor leads onto a large terrace that stretches along the length of the villa. Just step outside, lay down and enjoy a glass of Chianti at the sunset!
A gorgeous 10 minute drive through the rolling hills of Tuscany will take you to Pistoia and an additional 15 minutes of highway will take you directly to Florence. You can also reach Vinci in a few minutes, driving through the hills, and visit Leonardo's native house and museum. Submerged in nature, the opportunities for walks and bicycle rides are infinite.
The most beautiful Tuscan cities and sites are all within easy reach, so you can relax in the Villa as well as enjoy Tuscany's lifestyle and sightseeing at its best. You will find the locals very friendly and their cuisine and wine some of the best in the country.
S. Baronto and Cantagrillo are 5 and 10 minutes drive for the nearest grocery stores, supermarkets, pharmacies and other shops. Pistoia is a remarkably pretty town well worth visiting. It has nice restaurants, wine bars and trattorie for you to enjoy some italian lifestyle and cousine. Pistoia is also full of shops selling local products and wines.

After my first stay in 2007, I chose to return to Villa Tina in the summer of 2008 in order to attend the Pistoia Blues Festival. We were four couples, and what we wanted was a quiet and comfortable place to return to after the concerts. Villa Tina was just the right spot: every couple had a room, we shared the terrace and the big living room. Being immersed into the Tuscan hills, you would expect an old-fashioned, slightly decadent, not fully equipped venue, yet Villa Tina is exactly the opposite and we enjoyed all sort of commodities: the kitchen was provided with all we could possibily need, there were sunbeds on the terrace with pillows, and even a barbecue! We shopped in the nearby village and enjoyed great evenings!
