Description
The appartment is in the old town of Pitigliano (Southern Tuscanny) and covers two floors at the top of a traditional Pitigliano building going back several hundred years. The lower floor has 1 bedroom, a kitchen and a living room. The attic above is the second bedroom connected to the lower floor with a wooden staircase. The appartment has a typical Italian W.C. / shower cabinet. Pitigliano sits majestically on a tuffo rock and the apartment is on the rock edge so that there is a panaromic view of the surroundings in 3 directions from different rooms. The appartment has a small washing machine. To access the web you can either rent a surfstick from my landlady which you charge yourself or you can stroll to one of the cafes on the piazza and surf as much as you wish there while enjoying a good Italian coffee or other beverage. Siena and Rome can be visited in an extended daytrips. Siena is approx. 80 miles to the north and rome is approx. 90 miles to the south. Swimming is possible in Lake Bolsena (10 miles), in the ocean (30 miles) or in the nearby River Fiora (6 miles). There are many other sites of interest in the surroundings such as Niki St. Phalles Tarot Garden, the Park of Monsters in Bomarzo and the delightful towns of Orvieto (30 miles) and Viterbo (30 miles).
