The Beach Villa at Cocoplum represents one of the finest accommodation options available on the Placencia Peninsula. Nestled in the lush environs of the Cocoplum Residential Community, the Beach Villa offers travellers a truly unique blend of privacy, luxury and accessibility to the area’s many attractions.
Fronting on a mile of secluded Caribbean beach, each bedroom has its own entrance, making it ideal for people who wish to share their Belize adventure, but who also value their private space. The master bedroom is perched above the living/dining area and boasts a stunning view of the sea and nearby cayes from its spacious veranda. The two guest bedrooms are actually larger than the master and boast oversized tub showers as well as one of a kind outside showers.
Sustainable and Safe
All three rooms surround the inviting waters of the villa’s swimming pool. The Beach Villa sports the best in Belizean hardwoods, including black poisonwood bedroom floors, mahogany cabinets, and deck made from sapodilla – the tree tapped for chewing gum. The kitchen area features granite counter tops, and comes complete with all appliances and utensils to provide for a carefree luxury holiday. The adjacent living area comes complete with a 32” flat screen LCD tv with 105 channel cable and wireless internet. Hot water for the villa is generated using a large capacity solar heating system. The 224 acre community employs its own 24 hour security staff.
Location, location, location
Cocoplum is a ten minute drive from the Placencia airstrip, and is conveniently positioned between the laid back bustle of the village and the more upscale eateries of the northern peninsula. We provide free transfers to and from the airport and are more than happy to arrange a car rental or taxi for your forays into the village or one of the nearby fine dining establishments.
Land and sea adventures abound on the peninsula and it is our pleasure to connect our guests with the best the country has to offer. This includes world class SCUBA diving, snorkelling and fishing, invigorating hiking and tubing at nearby national parks as well as the exploration of thousand year old cities of the ancient Maya.
We know that when it comes to rental homes there is a wide selection. What makes this home special is that the level of personalized service matches the physical quality of the Beach Villa. Your host is not a hired caretaker; he is a resident and principal of the development where the home is located. Think of him as concierge and good neighbor rolled into one....Read more

My group and I stayed at this villa during the last week of Mar 2014. I know I am speaking for all of us when I say that the service, scenery, and experience were incredible, especially for the price! The private beach and pool area make it so easy to get out to the water which was great for swimming, kayaking, and just lounging on the beach. Having bikes at the house was also very nice as we used them multiple times. During our trip we visited a jaguar preserver, went scuba diving one day, and went to visit aTM which is a really cool cave system which featires Mayan ruins.
This Villa is especially good for people who don't want the overblown resort/tourist experience, because it allows you to be in a really nice location and quarters with tons of privacy. The property manager aaron is very accommadating and gives great ideas on restaraunts and things to do. I cannot stress enough how much of a hidden jewel this place is, I hope to visit again in the future.

We are three couples that usually take a winter break from northern New England to soak up some some great weather and relaxation. This was the Perfect Spot for our late February/ early March vacation. The villa is designed with three separate master suites and a wonderful common area with a complete kitchen, dining & living area. Everything was there from bikes and kayaks to a washer and dryer. The decorating was totally first class with exquisite bath rooms that are larger than many bedrooms we've experienced in past excursions. The property includes a beautiful deck with pool that looks over the beautiful ocean and an island that is a quick kayak trip off shore. There were lots of things to do without traveling far and the local restaurants were fabulous. Aaron and his dad were wonderful hosts accommodating any need. I would highly recommend this for a wonderful Belize holiday!!
“The best Villa we've stayed in so far in our travels.”

Everything was fantastic except the drive from the airport in Belize City. Next time we will fly to Placencia for sure...the speed bumps are an experience all there own. But...the house is amazing, the staff is the best and the village of Placencia is an experience not to be missed. We could not have had a better time...three master suites is the way to go. Perfect pool, perfect house, gorgeous setting all made for the best vacation to date.

I have been visiting Belize, particularly Placencia, for about 5 years now. During my first three trips I stayed in a charming little hotel on the ocean and was quite happy there. My last two trips, however, were exceptional because I stayed in the ocean villa at Cocoplum Resort and Residential community. I am not easily impressed and I tend to be a bit fussy but I left completely in love with the villa and will return again and again - until I build my own home. The villa is brand new, stunningly situated on the beach in a setting both secluded and near to all area activities and amenities. The three bedroom, 3.5 bath home is handsomely appointed, fixtured, and fitted with every convenience one might desire. There are three master suites built around a central court beautifully decorated with potted palms, private full sized swimming pool and patio, leading to the picturesque beach and ocean just steps beyond.
The ground floor of the villa includes a spacious kitchen, dining, and living area with full sized appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer; you can certainly cook a multi-course gourmet meal here if you are not tempted by the many wonderful restaurants in the area. The open plan living area enjoys wall to wall windows and French doors that open onto the patio, pool, and two additional bedroom units. Each of these units includes a spectacular bath with beathtakinly lovely deep soaking tubs made of beautiful local mosaic tiles and separate outdoor showers. The king size bedrooms offer enough space for an indoor sitting area if one does not want to enjoy the terrace or the living area in the main portion of the house. Every effort has been made to create a sense of privacy and there exists a unique environmental integrity in the planning of this villa and its placement on the grounds.

Ok, so it was my first Lobsterfest, but what a way to experience it. My two friends and I pulled up to the house and thought the place looked even more impressive than in the photos. We divided up who got which room via old reliable rock-paper-scissor. I "lost" out on one of the two first-floor suite rooms next to the pool that look out onto the beach and with outdoor shower, and ended up with the upstairs master suite with terrace, ocean-view and rainforest showerhead. No tears for me. It was only a quick, ten minute drive from Cocoplum in Maya Beach to Placencia Village. We had a blast at Lobsterfest, but when it got hot as the day progressed, we unanimously retreated back to the house and the refreshing, private pool during the hot afternoon hours. The kitchen was fully stocked and with the ingredients bought in the village, enjoyed freshly made coconut rum fruit smoothies in the pool. A healthy supply of fresh bath and beach towels, and some bathrobes were very welcome because of all our pool time. After dancing the night away at Lobsterfest, our big comfy beds and the crashing waves from the beach just outside lulled us all to sleep. A bit of the complimentary tea while watching TV on the flatscreen in the kitchen area was a great way to start our morning. We really didn't want to leave, but the weekend did end and we sadly said goodbye to our Lobsterfest weekend in this great house. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This is one of the most beautiful beach houses that I have ever stayed in. Just a short walk to the beach, the place was fully equipped with 3 private bedrooms, beautiful outdoor showers, a salt water pool, 2 decks with killer views of the ocean, and a cozy kitchen/living area. We came to see nearby Placencia, which is a cute tropical town, but we could hardly pull ourselves away from this luxurious villa. Stewart and aaron were extremely accomodating, and paid a lot of attention to all the details. This was truly a trip to paradise!

Wow! The beach villa is fantastic. Excellent beds, enormous bathrooms, love the outdoor showers! The villa is beautifully designed and decorated. Stewart and Graham were most attentive. We had an amazing time, only wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back!
