About Cabo San Lucas

Located at the tip of Baja California, Cabo San Lucas is one of the most popular and fastest growing resort destinations in Mexico. Because of its location right on the coast, it has become a hub for water sport activities including fishing and scuba diving. Recently, several championship golf courses have also been built in the area. Find yourself a vacation rental in one of Cabo's three districts: San Jose del Cabo, the old town area; Cabo San Lucas, the main town and the entertainment hub of Cabo; or The Corridor, a highway that offers luxury villas and beach houses just steps from the water.

Over the course of your stay, be sure to plan time for some of these activities and destinations:

  • Casa de la Cultura: This center is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has lots of information on events and happenings in the area. The guides at the cultural center are also very helpful and happy to assist tourists.
  • Land's End: Check out this large cluster of rock formations known to have exceptional views of the surrounding area.
  • Fishing: Chartering a boat for the day is possible with many different companies in the area.
  • Scuba Diving: Rent some gear and visit the Sand Falls.
  • Off-road Adventures: Spend a day on an ATV or mountain bike exploring the sand dunes, desert, mountains, and beach areas.
  • Shopping: Puerto Paraiso, Marina Cabo San Lucas, and Shoppes at Palmilla are the three main boutiques in the area.

Book a vacation rental in Cabo San Lucas during the spring, when temperatures peak in the mid 80s and cool down in the evenings. This will also allow you to enjoy the city's biggest festival, the Festival of San Jose, an 11 day festival in honor of the city's patron saint. Other big festivals in Cabo San Lucas include Dia de los Ninos in April and Dia de los Muertos in November.
