About Cambodia

There is archaeological evidence to show that people have been in Cambodia since 4,000 BC. By the 1st century BC, Chinese traders were reporting on its existence. The Chinese called the area Funan, the Khmer kingdom. Much later, Cambodia became a French colony.

Minibuses can be used for local trips. So can tuk-tuks - a motorbike in front with a passenger bench behind. These are cheap, but it's a good idea to agree the fare before getting in. Motorbike taxis (motos) can also be found in cities.
