Description

Our incredibly spacious fabulous three bedroomed house was completed in November 2015.

It has views of the fabulous Robberg Nature Reserve and over the Whale Rock Gardens estate. It makes a perfect setting for a family wanting a secure base for their holiday.

Stylishly furnished, The Longhurst House has three ensuite bedrooms (two to the back of the house, one at the front), a spacious living and dining area, open fire, and built in braai on the covered patio area to the side of the living area. The kitchen looks over the living area, and there is a separate scullery leading to a drying yard with outside shower for after those trips to the beach. There is a single garage and space for further car outside.

DSTV Premium is available at no charge for bookings of seven nights and over. For bookings less than seven nights it is DSTV Access.

Wi-Fi is included.

There is a shared heated pool on the estate.

But the real attraction is that the house (apart from being in the gorgeous Plett itself of course!) is that it is just a 10 minute meander by foot over a wetlands boardwalk to the glorious Robberg Beach, a paradise on earth with views to the right of Robberg Nature Reserve - also a national monument with rocks dating back 120 million years.

Hiking the Reserve is an amazing experience.

Turn left on the beach and it is a 30 minute amble to the iconic Beacon Island Hotel, and a few minutes more over the sand to Moby Dick's Beach Bar, Grill and Restaurant.

Plett is a surfer's paradise. Nearby Keurbooms River is a boater's paradise. There's golf, tennis, bowls a plenty.

Whale Rock Gardens is a secure estate, with guards on the entrance gate. It is a couple of minutes drive down Longships to the Beacon Isle shops, and an 8 minute drive into Plettenberg Bay's Main Street with an abundance of shops and restaurants. Market Square is 10 -15 minutes away, with big shops like Woolworths, Edgars, Mung and Bean and Checkers, plus many boutique shops.

There are so many great restaurants in Plett! We love Emily Moon's River Lodge, The Lookout Deck, The Plettenberg Hotel, The Table, LM, Lo Spuntino, Enrico's, Sao Goncalo, Down to Earth and Moby Dick's and there are many more we could name.

Plettenberg Bay is also becoming famous for its winelands, birding and hiking trails, and is already famous for fabulous wildlife adventures such as Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness and Rehabilitation Centre with its famous big cats; Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Jukani Sanctuary, Wolf Sanctuary, Radical Raptors, Elephant Sanctuary to name but a few.

We also have a one bedroomed apartment on the estate.

If Amanda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
