Kahala Resort is one of Poipu's most beautifully landscaped and well-maintained condominium complexes. Kahala is about a five-minute walk down a pathway to Brennecke's and Poipu Beaches, voted 'Best Beach' in America by the Travel Channel. Your children will love the calm waters where they can explore the underwater world with a mask and snorkel. The small waves at Brennecke's Beach are good for beginning body boarders and body surfers, and there is a surfing area for those experienced surfers as well. Frequent visitors to this beach are the beloved Hawaiian Monk seals who come here to rest in the sun. The beach park has restrooms, showers, picnic tables and pavilions as well as a large lawn area with shade trees. It is also one of the very few beaches on the island with lifeguards.? The Kahala condominiums are graced by a beautiful walkway called the greenbelt which provides you with walking paths throughout the Poipu Kai area, a 70-acre resort consisting of several unique condo developments (including Kahala), a residential area with homes, a large tennis facility (Poipu Kai Racquet Club), pool, hot tub, and garden paths connecting the areas of the resort. Kahala is less than a mile from the Poipu Shopping Center, home to restaurants, including Roy's and Keoki's, Starbuck's and numerous stores. Kalapaki Joe's is only minutes away from Kahala for dining convenience. All condos have full kitchens and lanais for dining enjoyment. After a day of activity, Kahala is a fabulous spot to watch the beautiful sunsets.

We stayed at kahala 214 in Poipu in February and it was more than we could have wanted. It is listed as a 1 bedroom. But is two. They tell you the second bedroom is really small but it's more than enough with a queen bed. The location of the condo in poipu is so central and literally a 3 min walk down to the beach. The location in the complex is literally awesome your right by the pool and have a view of the ocean. We would defiantly rent this again.

We had a wonderful time staying in Poipui, we had friends staying in another Condo they paid more for smaller accomodations, everyone was jealous! We started a journel for the Condo in hopes that future guests will write a page about their stay so the owners can look through, again we loved staying in the Condo and look forward to returning. This condo was well furnished, attractive, and convenient to pool, tennis court and an easy walk to the beach. Great Vacations provided more & better bath and household/kitchen supplies than we've ever experienced in another rental. The unit had nice baths, fairly comfortable beds, and ceiling fans in main rooms, but the living room was really small. We would not rent this unit again because of the lack of privacy and restricted airflow. It is a ground floor corner unit with a parking lot behind and a walkway along the side & front. People can clearly see in every room but the baths if the blinds are open. Airflow was almost non-existent without the ceiling fans. Furniture blocked most of the window louvers, and we had to keep the blinds drawn for privacy in the bedrooms and across the west facing dining & living rooms in the afternoon to keep out the direct sun. There was no roof overhang/patio cover.
Aloha and thank you for review.
Glad to hear that you appreciate the extra amenities that we provide. We try to make sure that our guests have everything they need and more for their stay in Kauai:)
I am sorry that you didn't feel like you had privacy/airflow. We will take a look at the windows and see if there is anything we can do to improve that for future guests.
Have a great summer!
“Argh,,, too much Marco Polo!”

Nice enough for an older unit. The living room furniture could stand updating for comfort. Kitchen was well supplied. We understood we were to have a garden view but it turned out to be a view of the tennis courts and the constant thumping became an irritant as did the games of Marco Polo from the rather disappointing pool area. A choice would have been nice. It was a pleasant 5 minute walk through the gardens down to Brenneke and Poipu beaches so the location was great. We attempted to make next years reservation while we were there but our calls were never returned.
Thank you for submitting a review. I am very sorry to hear that your calls were not returned. We are at the office 7 days a week and I will definitely bring it up with the staff as that is frustrating and not our normal practice. If you haven't booked something for next year we would love to still help you.

The Kahala unit is am ideal location in a park like setting. It allowed us to enjoy family time w/ our daughter & son in law who live in Koloa. The dinners on the lanai were the best.We will book this unit again. Peter & Sue.

The condo was clean and all of the appliances worked. The grounds were very well kept. Great location for me as I spent most of my time at the beach...which was a very short walk from where I was staying. Terrific walking paths and there were plenty of decent restaurants within a 10min drive...make sure to hit 'Da Crack' and the Mexican food truck at Koloa for the fish tacos. Renting a car is the best way to get around the island . The worst part about the whole vacation was getting there from central Illinois.
“Pool a few steps away, peekaboo view of ocean, and lovely orchid”

Easy stroll down to beach and the pool a few steps from our lanai. Orchid garden surrounding the lanai ( patio) and birds in trees in morning. Flowers would fall on ground in morning and I would tuck one behind my ear, as I wandered out onto the grass in my bare feet to get some morning sunshine on my face.
Well equipped kitchen and nice walk in shower. Very large 2 bedroom condo with 5 ceiling fans to keep it cool.
