Description

The Perfect spot for honeymooners especially outside school holidays when you will most likely have the complex to yourselves and renovated to a very high standard, La P'tite Boulangerie is situated in a pretty grassed courtyard opposite Les Ecuries (19711) at La Charronniere. Ideal for small families and couples and fully insulated and heated for winter holidays. La P'tite Boulangerie has a large double bedroom and shower room. Downstairs you will find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, with the original bread oven in one corner, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, a sofa bed, two rocking chairs and dining-room furniture. There is a woodburning stove for winter heating and a glazed shelving area to the side. The cottage features exposed beams downstairs and the ceiling sweeping up to the high roof beams in the bedroom upstairs. The floors throughout are wooden.

Facilities include a flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD/radio with French channels and English Freesat Channels and of course Wi Fi and hairdryer. Cleaning equipment is provided and bed-linen, bath towels and t-towels are included in the rental.

The grassed courtyard has table and chairs with parasol for al fresco eating. The fenced swimming-pool has a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue for guests' use and a large grassed area for your sun-loungers and for games of badminton. There is off-road parking. You will find a ping-pong and pool tables in the adjoining open sided barn and many more games are provided. *NEW FOR 2015 6 HOLE CRAZY GOLF COURSE. There is a laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board for guests' use. Ideally situated just off the RN10, with so many things to do and see in this area you will be spoiled for choice!

Arrival and departure days are flexible throughout the year.

For those staying a week or more you will be welcomed with a starter pack including tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival.

The swimming pool is open May to September, weather permitting.

The pool and gardens are shared by all staying at La Charronniere.

Smoking permitted outside only - not inside the cottages.

We expect that the gite is left clean and tidy as you would wish to find it but should you have an early flight or wish to depart early we will be happy to clean for a minimal charge of 50 euros.

Towels and t towels for use inside are provided should you require pool towels these can be provided for 2 euros each (to cover laundering).

We speak English and We are learning French.

Delightful cosy cottage ideal for 2 but will sleep up to 5 plus a baby, with exposed beams and wooden floors,and wood burning stove. With a large double bedroom which can easily accomodate a folding bed suitable for a child and a cot, and a double sofa bed in the living area this gite is equipped for 5. Bed linen and bath towels are provided - pool towels available on request for a minimal charge to cover laundering. Smoking is permitted outside but not inside the gites. Pets (dogs) may be taken by prior agreement with the owner - there is a resident dog. Further information to be found on the owners' website.

Further details outdoors

This is good walking and cycling country, so bring your bikes if you can, or we can recommend a hire company. There's a small airfield nearby where you can have microlight lessons; there are golf courses; lakes for fishing, horse riding stables; the Ramparts Race for cars in Angouleme once a year; the Tour de France is coming our way this year; and of course the many local markets and bric-a-brac fairs during the summer months. Lots of local attractions including Vallee du Singes (monkey world) and Furturoscope close at hand.

We live next door to the property so we will meet you and see you in on arrival. We are available should you need anything during your stay. We open the pool at 9 in the morning and close it at night and deal with cleaning etc. We will water outdoor plants etc but will try to be as unobtrusive as possible.

“Lovely gite in a peaceful location”

The gite was clean and beautifully decorated with all necessary amenities. Very friendly owners. Close to plenty of interesting places to visit. We had a great time and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of visiting this part of France.
