Description
“ Villa Verde ” is an ancient typical Sicilian stone villa of the IXth century, in the Madonie Natural Park , completely restored, maintaining its old structure and atmosphere but at the same time supplied with all modern comforts.
The property is dipped into a secular hazel-nut woods, crossed by a natural spring water stream and has got also a very large outdoor area with a flower garden where you can have a pleasant break and equipped to dine outdoors. In the summer season fruit trees and a kitchen garden are freely at disposal of the guests.
The house offers a wonderful view of the ancient medieval village of Polizzi Generosa and of the surrounding mountains.
It is very easy to reach from both Catania and Palermo airports. The house is dipped into the natural area of the Madonie Park and from it you can easily reach all the other ancient villages of Madonie. The house is only 15 minutes from the highway and represents a good starting point to visit many Sicilian locations of tourist interest: Palermo, Catania, Etna volcano, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Agrigento Temples Valley and many others.
The total living area of the cottage is about 140 mq on two storeys: a living room with a fireplace, a spacious kitchen where you can also dine, two large bedrooms , bathroom and a mezzanine. The house is very fresh in the summer, comfortable and charmingly furnished, typically country stylish, it has a is well equipped spacious kitchen and wood high ceilings on the first floor. Internet connection is available on request.
The guests will enjoy the relax and comfort of an absolutely bucolic environment , superb for hiking, riding, cycling/ mountain biking or just strolling along the magnificent wooded paths in the neighborhood or profit from its favourable and central position to visit the natural and historical attractions of Sicily

The shower cabin has actually been changed with a new, bigger one which can fit anyone tall up to 2 meters and more! Regarding Internet, the credit could have run out because of some automatic refreshing web pages, but anyway we will increase the credit. “Wonderful stay in charming Sicilian village”
How lucky we were to choose Villa Verde for a ten day vacation in Sicily. It couldn't have been more pleasant. The town of Polizzi Generosa is centrally located; each morning we looked forward to the day's adventures [which included shopping in town and walking in the nearby woods as well as trips to Agrigento and Mount Etna]. We ate well at local restaurants and also prepared dinner at "home", al fresco. The kitchen was well-stocked and the garden overflowing with strawberries, onions and fava beans. We were always happy to return to our cozy "home" after our travels, often to relax in the yard with a glass of wine. The owners, Giancarlo and Maria Grazia, couldn't have been more helpful. We had a lovely stay filled with wonderful memories.
