Lovely Sunny Cottage, 90 km from Dubrovnik

The Sunny Cottage is our family's heirloom. Built sometime at the end of the 19th century, it was thoroughly rebuilt and renovated in 2000, and then renovated and refurbished again in 2012. Our family has been spending summer holidays in Trstenik since 1965. Our sweetest childhood and youth memories are always connected with Trstenik, so we sincerely hope that, if you decide to come and stay in our Sunny Cottage you will go home with some delightful Mediterranean memories of your own.

The cottage is tucked in a quiet neighborhood of the old village, only a 5 minute walk to the wonderful 300m long pebble beach. Next to the cottage there is a pomegranate ...Read more

Additional Location Information

The village of Trstenik is situated in the central part of the southern side of the Peljesac peninsula, in the Dubrovnik county, just between the islands of Mljet and Korcula. Trstenik is connected to the mainland by the costal road via Ston and by a ferry line from Ploce to Trpanj.
HOW TO GET THERE:
By airplane: The Dubrovnik airport Cilipi is 120 km away. You can rent a car there and drive to Trstenik for about an hour and a half. You can also take a shuttle bus from the airport and ride to Dubrovnik, where you can take a bus to Trstenik (direction Orebic/Korcula) at the central bus station.

By bus: If you’re coming from Zagreb, you’ll take the bus to the island of Korcula. The road goes through the town of Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Crossing the state border, you’ll need your passport. If you’re coming from Dubrovnik, you’re also taking a bus to Korcula or Orebic. You’ll get off on the main road, just above the bay of Trstenik, and walk down about a kilometer to the village of Trstenik. We can also arrange a pickup for you there.

By car: Coming from Zagreb, you can ride the A1 highway or old road through Lika region. If you would like to avoid crossing the state border in Neum, you can drive to the town of Ploce and take a ferry to the town of Trpanj on the Peljesac peninsula. From Trpanj to Trstenik there is about 20 km.
Coming from Dubrovnik, drive along the coastal road, turn left at the crossing to the Peljesac peninsula and drive some 30 km more to the village of Trstenik.
