A converted historic villa and farmhouse in a cluster of traditional farm buildings, in the unspoilt Gordana valley. It is ideal for family holidays. The mill (casa padronale) is set in beautiful gardens, against a backdrop of an unspoilt natural valley and area of outstanding natural beauty, with a private swimming pool. It is surrounded by terraced gardens overlooking a meadows and fruit trees. Great for walks and gorge walking in the nearby Stretti di Giaredo. Instagram mulinodicavezzana.

“Quite Simply, 'amazing'”

Wow!! From the moment we arrived we realised we had stumbled across something quite special. Normally when you arrive at your holiday destination there is alaways something that doesn't quite live up to the property description and location; however Mulino di Cavezzana exceeded all of our expectations and more. John and Penny the property owners were there to greet us and show us round when we arrived, and provided us with a comprehensive user guide and a wealth of useful information. Lovely people, and we felt very honoured to be staying in their amazing mill house. The property goes on for ever with surprises around every corner and pathway. The house is enormous and spectacular with so much space. The pool is located at a lower level below the mill steam which trickles over a small water fall between the house and pool (stunning). The location is great, tucked away in the hills above Pontremoli, which is a short drive away. A 30 minute drive South takes you to the coast, where there are some lovely beaches and bays. Lerici is very beautiful with some excellent harbour side restaurants, and surprisingly inexpensive. The property grounds abut the riverbed which leads up to the Stretti di Giaredo which is a spectacular gorge. It took us a good hour and a half to get there but well worth the trek. The children loved it, Our holiday was 'quite simply amazing' I would highly highly recommend this property, and we will definitely be going back time and time again in the future.
