The property is located close to town and a bout a mile from the beach. There was directv in this unit which we loved and the pool is saltwater! Cool! The unit was clean and everything one would need was in there. It was qauint and decorated nicely. I would definitely stay here again. The area was quiet and nicely kept.

Except for mother nature it was an awesome get away.I will do it again and recommend to others.I was alittle scared to open the door to get keys at office.Didn't want to invade somebodies privacy after hours. We did enjoy the veranda and the tv.My son decided to get Married and Justice of Peace loved it also.I moved from Nebraska 3 yrs ago for this weather. It was rainy and cool. But we need the moisture. And cool don't mean cold.My kids flew down for an extended week end. They loved it.Thank You

This year was our 4th winter going to Port a. We arrived the end of November and took up residence at sail a away cottage at pirates bay. It's a beautiful place to stay, private yet just minutes away from shopping and dining. I love everything about the unit, but my two favorite things are the breezeway with the 46" tv, and the master BR bathroom with the Jacuzzi and walk in rock shower. We are returning again next winter for our 3rd year at Pb113-sailaway.

This is the second stay at one of the Cottages on Pirates Bay properties. The first time(a different unit)was without complaint.
I do have a few for this one:
Noise: This unit is an end unit. Noisy at night, whether it be from traffic on the highway or the Hampton Inn patrons next door or just the complex itself. The master bedroom is on the outside wall and it can be annoying.
Fixtures: All lavatory faucets were loose. You couldnt turn one on without the thing moving all over the place. Easy enough fix if they would just do it.
Towel ring and towel bars fell off the wall. You can tell they were just stuck back up there. I dont know how housekeeping can even hang the clean towels up without them falling of the wall. So towels got hung on the tops of doors or door handles.
Only complaint here is that I was 100% sure that the pillow cases hadnt been changed on at least one pillow. Numerous long dark hairs on pillow in Master bedroom
Great pools. The new one is very nice and much larger than the one at Phase 1. Only issue is that it states no un-accompanied children but there were at least 10 or 12 kids in the new pool and no adults other than myself and my wife. Maybe their parents were slow movers.
Thank you for staying with Starkey Properties and for being a repeat guest at Pirates Bay. We are sorry that you had issues with the bathroom fixtures during your stay. We do have full time maintenance personnel on staff for just these types of problems. Anytime you stay with Starkey just call the front desk and we will send someone out when it is convenient for you. These items were a simple fix and we could have been in and out quickly. This is a very popular unit with wonderful amenities and many repeat guests. We hope you will consider a stay in Sail-A-Way again this summer!

“Girl weekend getaway”

My 5 girlfriends and I spent the Memorial Day weekend at Pb113 and had an amazing time! We love the granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and stained concrete. The house was decorated nicely and modern. We loved the master bath, with the rock walk-in shower and big garden tub. The only complaint, if I had to find one, was some of us had issues with cell phone reception and we couldn't get the tv to work in the master (but that was probably our error). We got over it quickly though. The location was ideal and the patio off the master was where we all met up in the morning with our coffee. We plan to book this same house again later in the year.

Upon arrival in Port a, we received excellent service from our property people, Starkey Mgmt. We then proceeded to our unit at Pirate's Bay resort. Wow, what a great place. Beautifully decorated and furnished with all the amenities, beautiful surrounding grounds and a great location. Private, but easy access to the beach, shopping and dining. My personal favorite amenity was the "mancave"-the covered entry just outside the master BR and equipped with a 46" flat screen. Great place to watch my sports and still enjoy being outside.
