The rustic farmhouse is eco friendly, being completely off grid, while being comfortable & spacious, With 2 bedrooms, 1 double room with double bed, & 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Upstairs washroom with shower W.C & wash hand basin.

Terra dos Anjos is set in the Sao Mamede Natural Park in the Alto Alentejo region of Portugal. The Park is very peaceful & beautiful & is part of an area where the Atlantic & the Mediterranean eco systems merge, making for a very broad biodiversity. The Park being of special scientific interest for it's unique flora & fauna. This is in every sense a wilderness holiday & only for those who really wish to commune with nature & are willing to make a small sacrifice to convenience, in order to enjoy an unique experience of timeless tranquillity in a wholly natural landscape. The local towns are Castelo de Vide & Marvao, both have a fascinating medieval history & are a sheer delight to explore on foot, with many cafes & restaurants in which to enjoy a meal or a snack or just a shot of the strong local coffee & to simply sit & watch the world go by. Both towns are very photogenic, as is the whole region, with it's variety of landscapes, townscapes & lakes. Portalegre is the regional capital & has all amenities, a wide range of supermarkets & a coach station with regular services to Lisbon & other major towns. It is about a 2/3 hour drive from Lisbon along very quiet roads & about 4 hours from Lisbon by coach. The quinta is about 20 to 25 minute drive from all the local towns mentioned above. There is much to be appreciated in the area by lovers of history, natural history, photography & fishing. there are a number of swimming pools nearby & also river swimming.
