Villa Irina is a perfectly appointed and located villa. Yes, there are many many stairs that you need to climb to get to it, but so worth it. It's about a mile or so walk to the beach but along the way you pass by store after store and visit with the locals. Super convenient to the grocery store and bus stop. The owners were gracious and accommodating. We will defnitely being staying there again.

I was in Positano at Villa Irina in July 2012. The service I received from Summer in Italy was great. It isn't that first time that I deal with them to rent a villa and it won't be the last. The Villa is simply great clean and roomy and feels like home. It has a beautiful kitchen with everything you may need. There is a large terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean and where I had all my meals. There are lots of steps to reach Villa Irina, but if you take it slow, it is fine. I walked to the beach every day by taking the long easy road down and took the local bus to come back up, one street above the villa, so that I could walk down instead of climbing. At the bus stop is where you will find the butcher shop and grocery store. I loved everything about my stay; that's why I keep going back.

Villa Irina was great. From the moment we arrived we could not have been more pleased. The house was well stocked with a great kitchen and the terrace just speaks for itself.
Many nights the restaurants down the hillside have live music and the position of the villa on the mountainside served as an amphitheater of sorts funneling the music up for our enjoyment while we ate or had a glass of wine looking at the sea.
The owners greeted us upon arrival and Giovanni, against my badgering, insisted on carrying our large suitcase up the 104 or so stairs to the villa. Needless to say we were both impressed by his feat of strength and endurance and we were equally impressed by the amazing homemade wine and fig jam Rita left for us to enjoy during our stay.
We cooked almost all of our morning and evening meals at the villa and usually had lunch on the beach. The kitchen is a huge selling point and allows plenty of space to cook very nice meals with fresh ingredients obtained from the local markets.
Villa Irina met or exceeded our expectations throughout our stay and that amazing terrace provided the perfect spot for us to get engaged wrapping up a most enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend Villa Irina as a place to spend your vacation while in Positano.
Renting through Summer in Italy was easy and efficient and the communication was great. We look forward to using Summer in Italy when we return to Italy for our next visit in the near future.

We arrived to find Giovanni waiting for us to help with our bags, since we had to climb over 100 steps to get to the apartment. We are both in good shape so the steps were no real issue. They actually helped keep thew weight off.
Rita left us home made wine and marmalade. We climbed the 120 steps to the upper road to shop. The kitchen is fully equipped since we love to cook. We stepped out onto the terrace and immediately took in the wonderful view.
It is a wonderful apartment but be prepared for considerable walking. It is about a 15 minute walk down to the town square but well worth it. We did it several times a day, and the steps could be daunting for the physically challenged.
Rita and Giovanni were wonderful hosts and very helpful.
"Villa Irina was the perfect place for us, we hated to leave."

Villa Irina was very clean and it was central to the bus, walking walking distance to the beach, grocery shopping and especially great places to eat. If you can't climb stairs it is not for you, but then Positano would not be for you. The owners Rita & Giovanni were very gracious and welcomed us with a bottle of home made red and figs. Two days later a bottle of lemonchello and fruit! It is the perfect location with the most beautiful view from your porch. We have recommended it to a number of friends. We'll be back!

Villa Irima was what the pictures and description show and more. The facility is top notch, the bed comfortable,, the kitchen suitable for gourmet cooks and a wonderful view. The deck span the entire fron of the Villa with access from Kitchen, living room and bedroom.
The only note of caution is that there are about 75-100 steps you must climb up from the street below and about the same amount of steps to the street above. It probably wouldn't suit people with physical disabilities.
It was one of the highlights of our 23 day, 5 city Italian tour and the best acoomodation we had.
