Villa Eunice is a splendid two-story villa located on the high coast in front of the sea. It sleeps six people. From Villa Eunice you will enjoy a spectacular view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast . Villa Eunice is 150 square meters (1615 square feet). It features two gorgeous private terraces with a view of the sea and of the coastline, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.
You will be in the heart of Positano, a few steps from restaurants and shops. You will find the stop for the SITA bus Amalfi - Sorrento line at 50 meters (165 feet) and the closest beach ( Spiaggia Grande di Positano) at roughly 1 km (0.6 miles). You will reach Villa Eunice along a 50-meters (165-feet) public walkway that has no stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Eunice. If you do have one, you will be able to park it on the premises, in a garage. The parking space is suitable for at most one small car (the size of a Fiat Punto or smaller).
Villa Eunice is located in one of the most beautiful panoramic areas of Positano: the villa is an old house built on the top of that high rocky spur overlooking the sea and which seems to “sustain” the main and most picturesque part of Positano, photographed and printed in every postcard.
The inhabitants of the place call this part of town “La Pigna” (pine cone) due to its round shape and to the fact that all the houses overlap one another just as on the shelf of a pineapple. The ‘Pigna’ separates the Spiaggia Grande (Large Beach) from the beach of Fornillo, and it features a flat summit shaped as a small triangle, the Punta Reginella. Villa Eunice is built on the top of the ‘Pigna’: once you have arrived on its terraces, you will feel as if in the first row to watch a marvelous show, in this case the scenery of Positano. You will be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, the town, and the coast.
The first terrace is 120 square meters (1290 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the living room and from the kitchen. It is partly shaded by a characteristic wisteria pergola. It is equipped with a table, chairs, deck chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and of the coastline.
The living room is paved with lucid sky-blue tiles. The furnishings are elegant and welcoming. The furnishings include sofas, armchairs and a divan that unfolds into a double bed. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea through three double-glazed French doors. The room also has a double-glazed arched window with a view of the sea and of Positano. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. Here you will also find a washing machine. From the kitchen a double-glazed French door will take you to the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline. The room has two double-glazed windows with a view of the sea and of the terrace.
The first bathroom is small and equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the living room. Here you will find an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.
The second terrace is 65 square meters (700 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a pergola with a bamboo roof. It is equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a bright view of the sea.
The first bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include two armchairs. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The room also has a window. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). There is a small fireplace made of bricks. The furnishings include a desk. The room has two double-glazed windows with a nice view of the sea. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the first bedroom or from the terrace. The furnishings include two single divan beds and a desk. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the second terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and villa Eunice. It was meticulously maintained and had a wonderful view of the sea below. The caretaker Miss Stefania was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, boat reservations and any other requests. Although it wasn't an issue for us, you do have to be prepared for a 15 minute straight vertical walk up stairs form the beach to the house. It is at the very top!

The five of us had a remarkable stay at Villa Eunice in Positano! The location was perfect The views from the three terraces at the villa are sensational TIn fact, the day we returned from Villa Eunice I made my reservation for 2011! I used www.summerinitaly.com to book the villa as they were excellent communicators and were extremely helpful in all aspects. We had a rental car which was wonderful (regardless what you hear). Villa Eunice is a very special place and the garage was an extra special bonus as parking is difficult.
•Don't miss the Mediterranean restaurant "Ristorante Mediterraneo" on Via Pasitea 236 in Positano. The food was excellent and Rodrigo & Luciano, were a blast!
•The restaurant in the Hotel Villa Franca was one of our favorite meals. This hotel is directly below the villa, the one with the swimming pool on top. Fabulous view, delicious food, excellent service.
•Don't miss Capri and Ravello.
•In Ravello, I'd recommend having lunch at The Garden Restaurant (4 Via Boccaccio). Spectacular view, friendly waiters. When facing the cathedral, follow the tunnel on your right and you'll run right in to it at the end of the tunnel.
•There is a beautiful linen shop in Ravello, (La Bottega delle Arti at 7 Via Roma). Ask for Rosanna as she speaks English and is delightful.
•If you have a car, GO EXPLORING! We would see a little cove and head down toward it. We met wonderful people, found great little "family" restaurants and views you would never see from the road.
•Pompeii was on my "bucket list" but I had no idea how impressive and large it was until seeing it. Read "Pompeii" by Robert Harris before visiting. Great book, historical fiction, well researched, easy read and really gives you an understanding of what you are actually seeing.
•Finally, Stefania [the caretaker] is a jewel. She helped us immeasurably so be sure to ask her anything as she knows the area like the back of her hand.

The pictures on the website were so inviting that like every other dreamed-off expectations, we were afraid we were going to be disappointed with the real thing. Alas, all our trepidations were unfounded as Villa Eunice became our very beautiful and comfortable "home" in Italy. It was very roomy for our party of 5 and never had to fight for the bathroom. The alfresco veranda was our setting for all our breakfast and some late dinners. The A/C worked perfectly. The location cannot be beat away from the hustle and bustle of the lower town. Not having to negotiate stairs to get to and from the villa was wonderful and the fact that the local and regional transport is just a short stroll away from the villa was a godsend.
We would not hesitate to stay there again should the opportunity arise in the future.

Look no more!! Villa Eunice has it all- modern 2 story home with 3 bathrooms and the best view of the Amalfi Coast. Plus, this unit has its own one car garage, without it you have to park in one of the car park garages. The villa is just down the street from the Bar Internaionale where everything from gelato to liquor to bus tickets can be bought. We tried to book the Villa again for Sep 2010, but it was already filled for our week. This place is outstanding and unmatched. Rent it now!!

We spent 2 weeks in Villa Eunice and it was perfect! The location just at the "top" of Positano kept us away from the vacation crowds but with easy access (via local bus or the stairway) to the town center and beaches. Food shopping was also just up the road, as well as a terrific local restaurant. The villa itself was very comfortable for our family of 3. We spent most of our time on the terrace enjoying the spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast. The air conditioning was a must-have for the summer nights - no problems sleeping! I would definitely consider renting Villa Eunice again for our next visit to Positano.
