Villa Gisella A is a bright apartment. It sleeps four people. It is appoximately 70 square meters (750 square feet). It features a nice private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.
You will be in the center of Praiano , approximately 100 meters (330 feet) from restaurants, shops and the SITA bus stop. You will find the closest beach (Spiaggia della Gavitella ) at roughly 500 meters (550 yards) including 400 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Gisella A from the street level going up approximately 90 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Gisella A. If you do have one, you will be able to park it at approximately 800 meters (880 yards), in a reserved covered parking space, in a fenced yard.
Villa Gisella is an independent house built on a stretch of coast which descends towards the sea. It is part of an old area of Praiano, right in the center of the town and a few feet away from shops, restaurants, bars, and a pay swimming pool placed in a panoramic position.
From the terrace, you can enjoy a splendid 180-degree view of the sea and the coast. You will be able to admire the whole fascinating arch-shaped coast where Positano is nestled. Your eyes will meet, far in the horizon, Capri with its famous Faraglioni (stacks – vertical columns of rock in the sea near the coast) and the small Li Galli islands just a little closer.
The terrace will be your favorite place to have meals outdoor while admiring wonderful sunsets over the sea.
From Villa Gisella, you can reach the sea by either taking a bus or walking until the beach "della Praia", about 1 km (about 0.6 mile) away. You can also climb a long stairway (about 400 steps) which leads to a graciously small beach called ‘’ La Gavitella ’’ placed in an inlet enclosed by rocks.
During spring and summer the beaches are equipped with establishments and restaurants. Several beaches have small boats which take you to numerous and enthralling small beaches along the coast. Don't miss the chance of going on those trips! From Praiano, you can easily reach the beaches of Positano and Amalfi by bus.
The terrace is 40 square meters (430 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic pergola. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coastline.
The furnishings of the living room are simple and comfortable. The furnishings include three armchairs. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!) and a kettle. There is also a washing machine. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the large terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through two double-glazed French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
The first bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm/71 inches). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
The second bedroom has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a double-glazed French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower.

Mrs. Adriana was wonderful allowing us to check-in early as we had to check out of our rental in Sorrento by 10 am and she even provided us with fresh eggs, lemons and pastry. Two other mornings she called down from her apt upstairs and lowered down a basket on a rope with fresh
pastries. One day when we had left laundry out to dry and it rained while we were out, she even moved it inside for us. Everything we needed for our stay was
provided in the apt and it was homey and immaculately
clean. The patio was furnished with comfortable chairs and a nice table where we ate breakfast each morning and the view was spectacular - overlooking Positano, Capri and the islands. The bus stop was just a few steps away from the bottom of the stairs down from the apt., so easy to get the bus to amalfi, Positano or Sorrento which we did several days. Lots of restaurants and bars
within close walking distance from the bottom of the stairs on the main road. The only drawback to the amalfi Coast are the steps everywhere. The apt was 92 steps up, the beach 400 steps down, Positano a vertical city, and Ravello 2,000 steps down to amalfi, and we did it all. And we would do it again - the apt was lovely so it was well worth the climb (and the rope pulley handily brought our luggage up to and down from the apt).

Taking a chance and booking with Summer In Italy totally without any first hand reference was entered with caution, but have to say, the entire experience went exactly as indicated. Communication before the trip came as claimed, and what to expect and do on arrival was accurate and very helpful.
I almost don't want to say this, because we would like to keep it our secret, but Villa Gisella was perfect for us. Super clean, very well located, incredible outside space, and yet fit our desire to not be in a 4 star resort.
The public space/kitchen was all we needed, and we like to cook! Perfect for bringing supplies for daily breakfasts on the patio. We even cooked dinner in twice, only because of long tiring days.
For us, Praiano was the perfect location. Felt like we got to know the little main street and angelina at her little market, Genarro of Vivaro and all the other faces we saw daily. Senoira adriana is the best!
All I can say is, if we ever go back to the amalfi Coast, this is where we will stay!

The views from the large private courtyard are wonderful, the sea, the sunsets, the valley behind and the village below .Our hostess adriana was was so helpful and generous with gifts of food from her garden. The villa was spotless and the kitchen was very well equipped. The three double doors open onto the courtyard letting in the sun the air and the views. Praiano was so nice and quiet compared to amalfi or Positano, yet it's easy to visit the other places by the local bus.

The view, the community and the experience of living for a week in rural Italy was fantastic. The owners/caretakers of the villa were great to deal with and responded to any requests we might have had.
The view from the terrace were every bit as outstanding as the pictures on the internet were. I would recommend this villa and holiday to anyone.

We were greeted with a basket of huge fresh lemons and oranges from andrea's terraced garden. After having our luggage carried up by a cart we looked out over the most gorgeous view of the amalfi Coast from the terrace. The apartment was immaculate, as well as beautiful and so comfortable. Each bedroom had french doors opening to the spectacular coastline with mountainsplunging into the sea. We hiked up to the "walk of the Gods" and walked into the village each day for a trip to the market or some espresso, We spent the nights watching the sun set into the Mediteranian and could not have been happier.

Superb location with wonderful view of of the sea from very large terrace. Very friendly and helpful landlord. Unfortunately chose the only week in October 2009 with rather bad weather. Would certainly like to come back.

There were four of us staying here and it was wonderful...everything was as it should be no disappointments....it was as pictured and all the people involved in making and securing the reservation were very helpful in describing the Villa... The Owner/manager was terrific giving us gifts all the time.... It was in a great location for exploring the Amalfi Coast...Praiano itself is very small and quiet which is what we wanted....we could walk to everything in this small town...
